⚡️Kara's POV⚡️

I was in the apartment with Mis. Everyone had left after I begged them all to go home and promised I was ok. I grabbed a beer from the fridge and sat down. Tyler saved me. He saved me from killing MYSELF. And this is how I repay him? By letting two buffoons bust him up? Causing him to KILL HIMSELF. To sacrifice himself from the harsh reality that was how one day Natsu would beat him.

"Mis." I called out to my best friend in the whole world.

"You ok?" She asked with a perplexed look on her face. She looked just as hurt as I was.

Avoiding the question I smiled. It was a sad, hollowed smile.

"Tomorrow can we get back to work?"

"Of course."

So with that, I finished the bottle in my hand and fell asleep.

The thing that nobody realised, was that under my hard, strong, FAKE, exterior, was a girl who needed saving from herself. Who liked being alone, who liked not having to worry about what the world thought of her.

*Next day*

After throwing on sweats and a tracksuit, Mis and I headed out for the guild. I was wearing my square glasses, and had my hair up in a messy bun, way too casual for work, but it's not like anyone would say anything to me, THE Lightning dragon slayer.

I spent the first four hours of the morning fixing lights in different people's houses, before returning back to the guild for lunch.

As I walked in the aura changed instantly. Voices turns into hushed whispers, and I could feel the eyes on me. I went up to the second level of the guild and stopped along the way to get a beer and my second pair of headphones, the ones I always left behind at the guild for slow days like this one. I could see Natsu, but didn't give it a second thought.

I saw someone walking up to me, and before they could say anything I stuck my hand up for silence. I walked upstairs. Mis was off buying groceries. I didn't want company. I put on my headphones and listened to whatever was on my playlist. I walked past the decade quest, the same board I had been standing at five years before-hand, before walking out to never see the guild the same way.

I don't know how I was persuaded by Gildarts to go on the quest. He was like the father figure I never had, and I loved having the ability to talk to someone older, who was a man, and wasn't my brother, who was always way too moody to give good advice.

FLASHBACK TO 5 YEARS BEFORE

"The mission is a hard one. You need to go alone. Your mission is to find yourself. Become the hero you are destined to be!  Spot problems before they become a serious issue. I believe in you Kara. The master will tell your friends, and if you accept, you'll become the strongest member of Fairy Tail and reach your full, absolute potential."

With hesitation I thought about it over 2 long, hard, restless nights.

"I'll do it. On one condition. Miss is coming with me."

Gildarts thought hard, and came to a final answer

"Sure."

And that's when I left, with only clothes on my back, and Miss, before being dropped off to a disclosed area.

END OF FLASHBACK

As soon as that, I got up. I had enough slouching. Back to work.

I went back up to board. Already today I had managed to clear the board of over 20 jobs that Laxus and I were supposed to bro be working on. slacker.....

"Hey Kara..." It was that flaming, pink haired, dragon breath, flame throwing idiot.

"What. Came to ask my permission before you find another one of my ex boyfriends and beat them up?"

"I came to ask if you wanted to go on a mission, just me." He asked. At this point I still hadn't turned and looked at him, when I did, he had the sincerest face if ever seem him wear.

"Ask your team. I have more important duties to fill then go off.."

"Please." He cut me off. HE CUT ME OFF.

I rolled me eyes and gave a quick nod, to which his face lit up.

"LEZZZ GOOOOOOO"

Hey guys its currently 11:39pm as I'm closing off on this chapter, so I'm really sorry if there are any mistakes!

So, I've been in a bit of a hiatus if you didn't realise! I'm really sorry for the delay, bug I have a window of opportunity to update lots of chapters, but unfortunently is closes soon, the more likes, the more chapters and updates you'll get!
