"Don't worry! My father will definitely help you find your act!" Zoey promised, as she knocked on her father's trailer door. "Dad?" She called, as she opened the door. "Wait here, I will be back in a second" She promised, as she entered her father's trailer. I sighed, and took in my surroundings. The large, red and yellow stripped tent stood proudly at the centre of the cars and trailers. I hadn't realised it yet, but I found myself walking towards the animal's tent and cages.

There were a lot of animals there, an elephant and her calf, a horse and her brother, and one, lone lioness. I crept closer. I had never seen a real lion before, and to be so close to one now, was so exciting. I stood before her, and she examined me, staring into my soul with her unusual green eyes. Her golden fur was slightly matted, as if she hadn't been groomed in a while.

I brought myself to her level, and stuck my hand between the bars. I know, I shouldn't have done that, but somehow I trusted her not to bite. She sniffed my fist, before letting me pet her. Her fur was surprisingly soft, and she growled softly, a sign that she enjoyed my company. I smiled, and began to scratch behind her ear. She was amazing, and so calm too.

"Noah are you in here...I-" Zoey called, as she came face to face with me. Her eyes widened and before I could reply, she started screaming. She bolted back outside, screaming for her dad. "What's up with her?" I wondered, before the lioness grumbled, trying to get my attention again. I chuckled. She was just like a house-cat. Zoey's voice came closer, along with an unfamiliar male voice. "Daddy! You've got to help him! Look!" Zoey yelled, pointing at me.

The adult male, followed his daughters pointing and stared at me. His eyes widened, and he dashed forward and pulled me away from the Lioness. "Kid! What the hell are you doing??!! That thing is dangerous!!" He yelled at me, pointing to the danger sign. I stared at the danger sign before I began to rub the back of my neck, and a sheepish smile. "Oops...?"I muttered. The lioness began to growl aggressively, and instantly the man dropped me out of surprise.

The growling ceased and the Lioness seemed to calm down. The man watched the lion suspiciously, before placing his hands on my shoulders. Once again, the lioness began to growl. And like before, the man took his hands away from my shoulders and the growling ceased. This continued for awhile before the man finally cleared his throat. "Zara seems to have found a new friend.." He mumbled, before looking me straight in the eye. "So, Zoey tells me you wanna join the circus?" He asked.

I nodded eagerly. "But you don't have an act" He reminded me, and I nodded again. "But your willing to go through training to join our circus?" He asked. "Yes sir!" I replied proudly. He examined me once more. "Training starts tomorrow!" He ordered, walking out of the tent. "You can stay with me, in my trailer tonight, Noah!" Zoey chirped.
