~Jericho~

~Jet~

As the plane continued to glide through the skies, Tony stared at the white, fluffy, clouds as he thought back to the girls before Rhodey interrupted his train of thought.

"Hey, you doing okay man? You're usually uppity when you fly?" Rhodes asked as Tony turned to him.

"Uppity? Not really I suppose." Tony replied.

~Hours Ago~

Tony walked out the door as Ruby and Yang stood next to his car, awaiting to say their goodbyes.

"Now then, no parties, no boys, and no blowing up the house Ruby." Tony said, eyeing the small girl who turned the other way.

"Listen to Happy and Pepper while I'm gone. Now then, Pepper has a list of schools you'll be attending here in Cali so you kids could get a proper education, or what is considered an education." Tony continued as Yang rolled her eyes.

"Hey, I never liked school when I was your age Yang, but it is a necessity to further yourself in the world." Tony retorted as Yang sighed and nodded.

"When will you back?" Ruby perked up as Tony smiled lightly.

"Tomorrow or the next after at the latest squirt, depending on how long they keep me in the desert." Tony replied before hugging the two.

"Goodbye girls, see ya soon!" Tony said entering the small silver car as Yang and Ruby waved goodbye.

Exiting the estate, Tony sighed before switching on the radio for tunes, only to receive the news daily gossip.

"In other news, it appears billionaire playboy Tony Stark may have some secrets even we never knew about. Just yesterday a picture had been surfacing of the man and two girls. One was a young adult, around 17 and the other no older than a teenager. Are these secret kids hes kept secret? More developments soon enough-"

Switching off the radio, Tony groaned before continuing down the highway as he thought of an excuse for Obadiah when he found out.

~Present~

The bump of the wheels touching down jolted Tony out of his daydream, his dream of Summer and how enticing she was. She was a gentle soul and it hurt Tony to know that he left her wanting more but his selfishness got the best of him.

Exiting the plane, he was greeted with a small band of commanding officers.

"Good afternoon Mr. Stark, I hope your Jericho missiles will deliver?" One officer asked.

"C'mon, it's me. What else is awaiting, another grant?"

~Testing Field~

Standing in front of the assembled men and women of the military, Tony sighed as he thought of a speech for his new prized machine.

"Is it better to be feared or respected?" - I say, is it too much to ask for both? With that in mind I humbly present you the crown jewel of Stark Industries' Freedom Line. It's the first missile system to incorporate the latest in proprietary Repulsor Technology. They say that the best weapon is the one that you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree! I prefer... the weapon you only have to fire once. That's how Dad did it, that's how America does it... and it's worked out pretty well so far. Find an excuse to let one of these off the chain, and I personally guarantee you the bad guys won't even want to come out of their caves."

Tony nods to one technician as the large warhead swivels, turning to the barren mountain.

"For your consideration... the Jericho."
Raising his arms as the missile fires into the air, heading fast for the surface its head pops open, little missile escape and slam into the surface causing a shockwave to rush into the soldiers and CEO.

"I think that's that, so what'll it be Major?" Tony turned to the soldier.

"We'll meet back at the base to go over the transactions. Looks like another sell Merchant." The Major smiles before leaving.

Tony's smile remains before frowning slightly at the thought of Ruby and Yang before shaking it off and heading towards a cooler that opened to reveal a small tray of various drinks.

Grabbing one and heading to a Humvee, his phone rang as he answered to see Obidaih on his bed, a smile at the sight of the young man.

"Good morning kiddo!" He greeted as Tony chuckled lightly.

"Why don't you have clothes on Obi?" Tony asks sarcastically.

"It's Saturday kid, anyways how was show and tell?" The elder man inquired.

"It went smoothly, might have a sale soon." Tony replied.

"That's my boy! I'll see you tomorrow! Get a good night's rest." Obidaih soon disappeared from the phone as Tony put it away and went to enter the humvee before Rhodey stopped him.

"Hey Tony!" He called before the man rolled the window down, closing the door.

"I'm sorry but this is the "Funvee." Tony smirked as Rhodey chuckled.

"Good job today." Rhodey replied as he left, the humvee starting.

~Later~

As Tony posed for the camera, unknown to the group, terrorists had laid in wait to ambush the CEO and his convoy.

A rocket screams into the first humvee, killing its occupants and stopping the rest of the convoy as the soldiers begin to get ready for their guests.

"Stay with Stark!" One soldier shouted as he exited the humvee, only to be rattled with bullets.

"Give me a gun!" Tony shouted as the soldier exited the vehicle.

"Stay her-" He ordered before a rocket blast killed him.

Tony became disoriented as he exited the humvee and dived behind a rock.

Opening his phone, he began typing before a rocket impaled the ground next to him, his company's logo painted on the side.

Screaming, he backed off before the explosion knocked him back, disorienting him and injuring him as he pulled off the shirt he was wearing as his bulletproof vest began to bleed out.

"I don't think I'm coming home girls, I'm sorry..."

~Malibu~

As time passes, Yang and Ruby had finally enrolled in a school the both had agreed upon, the prestigious Beacon Academy.

"I don't know about you guys, but the whole dress code thing kinda feels a little tight..." Yang called out, walking out of the bathroom in her Beacon uniform.

"I think it looks cool." Ruby shrugged as Zwei tilted his head.

"Well you both look fashionable as well as adorable, now then, we must head to the academy if we are to get you two enrolled now." Pepper chipped in as she walked to the door and opened to reveal a military official.

"Miss Potts?" The woman asked as the ginger nodded.

"Where's Rhodey?" She questioned.

"Classified, may I come in?" Pepper nodded as she opened the door, allowing her to enter.

"Ruby, Yang, why don't you girls go to the car, I believe Happy's waiting for you." Pepper said as Ruby and Yang walked out in their casual clothing.

"Ok, we'll-" Yang started before Ruby interrupted her.

"Is that the standard issued M9A3 pistol!?" The weapon enthusiast wide eyed the official.

"RUBY! What did I say?" Pepper snapped as the official chuckled lightly.

"You have a keen eye little one, maybe when you're older and ready, we can talk about the grown up stuff, for now, you two run along." She smiled as Ruby deflated, being hauled off by her older sister.

"I'm sorry miss..." Pepper raised an eyebrow.

"Forgive me, I am Sergeant Major Winter Schnee. I have come to deliver news of a Mister Anthony Stark." Winter frowned.

"How is he? I hope my boss hasn't been a pain to the military." Pepper chuckled lightly.

"It is with a heavy heart to report that Anthony Stark has gone MIA after an ambush by the Ten Rings terrorist group after the reveal and testing of the classified Jericho missile project. The convoy was destroyed and all military personnel perished in a firefight." Winter reported as Pepper's eyes widened.

"H-how?" Pepper stumbled back before Winter caught her, steadying the shocked woman.

"I'm sorry Miss Potts, we've had our best scouts traverse the terrain in hope of finding a trail but our efforts have been, less than thrilling. Corporal Branwen is currently behind enemy lines trying to track Mister Stark as we speak, HQ thought that we should inform you as you are the closest to him." Winter spoke.

"Me? What about Ruby? Shes his daughter and Yang is his step daughter!" Pepper retorted as Winter's eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Qrow didnt tell me they were his." She muttered as Pepper felt tears rush down.

"We should inform the kids." Pepper said as the two turned to see them entering the car.

"No, let them go to school Mrs. Potts, they needn't worry after their last traumatic experience, they need this." Winter persuaded as Pepper frowned.

"What experience?" Pepper asked.

"When their mother and father passed away in the line of duty." Winter replied.

"Those poor girls." Pepper watched as the car holding the heirs to Stark Enterprises drove away.

~Cave~

Tony barely made out the jagged rocks and fluorescent lights as he was being taken down a hall, his chest burning with pain.

Closing his eyes, he began to slumber as he remembered Summer, her beautiful brunette hair, her black dress and the white cloak as she turned and smiled at him.

"Wake up Tony, she's waiting for you."

Inhaling quickly, he awoke to a cave with wires and lights here and there.

He laid on a cot as his eyes wandered his temporary home, noticing a cup of water, he reached for the metal cup only to be restrained by a wire connected to a battery.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." An Arabic voice spoke as Tony turned to see a man cooking near a small fire. He turned and smirked.

"Glad to see you alive Mr. Stark." The man spoke as Tony sat up.

"Go ahead, drink up. You'll need it after what happened to you." He said. Handing him the cup and motioning to his chest.

Curious, he ripped off the bandages to see a circular battery of some sort planted inside his chest.

"What the hell happened?" Tony demanded.

"You were hit by shrapnel, I was able to dig as much out but there is still some. That magnet is keeping you alive." The man informed him as Tony groaned, the battery heavy to move due to his sickly movements.

"I have a souvenir." The man grinned, grabbing a bottle and tossing it to him.

Examining the bottle, he noticed bits of metal as he took a shaky breath.

"I've seen wounds like that, the people of my village call it The Walking Death." The man smirked as Tony placed the bottle down.

"I, I need to get out of here." Tony said.

"I'm afraid, escape is not an option." The man frowned as Tony shook his head.

"No you dont know understand, I have two girls who need me." Tony reasoned as the man frowned.

"I too have a family, but there is no escape from him. We'll-" The man said before banging could be heard.

"Get up and do what I do." The man urged as Tomy copied him, the large metal doors opening to reveal armed men and their plump leader.

The plump leader began to laugh heartily as he speaks Arabic, a foreign language to the CEO.

"He says, "Welcome, Tony Stark, the most famous mass murderer "in the history of America." The man translated.

"He is honored. He wants you to build the missile. The Jericho missile that you demonstrated. This one." The man translated, showing the picture of the same missile.

"I refuse."

~Beacon~

As Happy drove up to the entrance of the beautiful castle, Ruby pondered on school.

"C'mon sis, this'll be something new." Yang patted her shoulder as Ruby frowned.

"I don't know Yang." She replied as Yang sighed.

"C'mon Petal, or else Potts will get mad and you know how she can be." Yang smiled as Ruby nodded.

The two exited the vehicle as Pepper walked the siblings through the doors and towards the office.

Various students noticed the two, some had mutant traits of animals while others were normal.

"Ah, you must be Yang and Ruby Stark. I am Miss Goodwitch." A mature looking teacher spoke as Pepper smiled in greeting.

"Hello, I am Miss Potts, their guardian while Mr. Stark is overseas." Pepper said as Glynda nodded.

"Please, this way. Mr. Ozpin is quite thrilled that the children of Tony Stark are attending Beacon." Glynda smiled as she led the three to Ozpin's room.

Entering, the professor twirled in his chair and greeted the trio with a warm smile.

"Ah, Ms. Potts, thank you for coming." Ozpin said standing and shaking her hand.

"Thank you for accepting Mr. Ozpin." Pepper replied.

"Please, you may call me Ozpin. Now then, Ms. Xiao-Long and Ms. Stark, I am absolutely delighted you would be joining our humble little family." Ozpin said as Ruby fidgeted in her seat.

"Its better that staying in that big mansion I suppose." Ruby nervously said.

"Ms. Stark, you have nothing to worry I assure you ma'am. I'm sure you'll fit in with others." Ozpin reassured the nervous girl.

"Its not that Professor, it's just we've lived on the road with only our Uncle Qrow. Our parents lost their lives before we, or Ruby, found Tony. It's still all too surreal." Yang explained as Ozpin nodded.

"Not to worry Ms. Xiao-Long, we shall do our best to keep you accommodated." Ozpin replied.

"Now then, there are a few things I would like to say. Our school, I'm sure you've noticed, is unique because we accept children from all walks of life, rich, poor, human, mutant. I don't suppose you will have a problem?" Ozpin questioned.

"Absolutely not Professor, our father taught us to keep an open mind. My dad was really the optimist." Yang said.

"Mr. Stark I presume?"

"No, my dad, Taiyang Xiao-Long." Yang nods.

"Taiyang, indeed he was the optimist. I remember him faintly here in this school. Always the one to fight the battle against tyranny and hate. Your father was a great man, my condolences Yang." Ozpin frowns.

"Thank you professor."

"Now then, classes will start at 9 am. Will you be coming to school or would you like to use our dorms?" Ozpin asked.

"I think sometime away from the technology and JARVIS will do some good for you two. They'll stay here in the dorms." Pepper intervened.

"Alright, I'll have our staff go and grab your things for tomorrow. Also, you two will be sharing a dorm with two other girls, if you don't mind?" Ozpin said.

"I don't mind." Yang smirks.

"Ms. Stark?" Ozpin turned to Ruby.

"Do I have a choice?" Ruby replied.

"I'm afraid not young Stark. But I do hope you can become friends with your new roommates." Ozpin explains as Ruby sighs.

"Fine, I'll do it." Ruby replied as Ozpin stood.

"Ms. Stark, Ms. Xiao-Long, welcome to Beacon." Ozpin bows as the two sister turned to each other.

"This will be a doozy."
