~Tony~

After weeks of physical therapy and excruciating hours of dealing with medical professionals, Tony was given the okay to resume his work as he spent the remainder of his time back home working an a new and more improved Arc Reactor to replace his already dying one.

"You should weld these together Dad, the power supply would be best." Ruby chimed in.

His daughter had opted to help him and who was he to argue with a fresh pair of eyes.

"Yes, but it could compromise the inner rings." Tony retorted.

"Do you want it to glow blue or have back up power?"

"You make a fair point." Tony chuckled as Ruby smiled before turning to her own project.

Zwei 2.0 had gotten a major overhaul as his design looked more slim rather than broke down when first met.

As Tony welded the necessary wires, he looked at the finished project and grinned.

"Not bad Squirt." Tony smirks at his daughter who grinned in appreciation.

"As expected of a prodigal daughter." She said in haughty tone.

"If I didnt know better I'd say you were mocking the Schnees." Tony laughed.

"Its to be expected when the heiress is my roommate at Beacon." Ruby replied.

"Spill." He said as Ruby giggled before Yang stepped in.

"What are you nerds laughing about?" She asked as Ruby shot her a grateful glance.

"Whether dad wanted his Reactor to glow blue or have back up power." Ruby said.

"I mean, this is Dad we're talking about, he has a flair for the dramatics." Yang smiled before it fell, calling him Dad was new to her.

Over the past months for his recovery, Tony had managed to break through the protective barriers Yang and Ruby had held up, getting to know the sisters more.

Ruby's favorite foods were strawberries and cookies as Yang was a recovering alcoholic, something Tony struggled to be.

Yang was more of a mother figure to her sister from the death of Summer and Taiyang, a man Tony wished he knew.

"Tai, he sounded like a better man than me." Tony said as Yang bowed her head.

"He was a good man, but I hope you can be the same." Yang spoke as Tony stood as hugged the blonde.

"I'll do my best to honor his memory." Tony whispered before Ruby jumped on them.

"Group hug!" The young girl shouted as Yang and Tony laughed before Pepper came in.

"Its nice to see you're up and about." She smiles as Ruby grinned.

"But you two are going to be late for school." Pepper pointed out as Ruby groaned.

"Cant we stay a bit longer?" Ruby protested.

"Its been a month sweetie, I think Professor Ozpin and your roommates would like to see you again." Tony pointed out.

"I guess you're right." Ruby muttered.

"I'm sorry?"

"Alright, we'll go back." Ruby admitted as Tony pulled her close and kissed her head.

"Well, when I kick the bucket, you two will become the CEOs of your grandfather's company." Tony said as Yang had a mischievous glint in her eye.

"We could not go back and live off allowances?" Yang pointed out.

"Nice try Yang." Tony retorted with a smirk.

"Drat, least I tried." Yang deflated.

"You'll need that diploma for later in life, who knows, maybe you won't want to be a CEO and branch off." Tony said.

"Why wouldn't you want to be a CEO? The tech here is amazing! Isn't that right Jarvis?" Ruby shouted.

"Of course Miss Stark, but for now, Professor Ozpin has inquired on your return to your studies." Jarvis replied as Yang shrugged her shoulders.

"He's not wrong Sis, we do need those papers to at least qualify for a job." Yang reasoned.

"Fine, we'll go back. Tell Professor Ozpin we'll be back by next week please Jarvis." Ruby said.

"Right away Ruby." Jarvis replied as the heiress slumped against Tony.

"C'mon you girls, dinners ready." Pepper said as Yang nudged Ruby before leaving.

"I'll be right behind you kid, just need Pott's help." Tony smiled.

Pulling her into a hug, he kissed her head as Ruby grinned.

"You, are the best thing to happen to me." He said as she leaves, a new bountiful of happiness.

Tony sighed as he was left alone in his workshop before standing and turning to his computer.

"JARVIS, I want to start up a new project." He spoke.

"Will this be on the public server?"

"No, put it on a ghost drive, I don't want any of this falling into the wrong hands." Tony replied as a hologram of his MK. 1 suit appeared.

"Won't need these, or that." He mumbled as he took apart the hologram.

"Are you sure you don't want your daughter's knowing sir?" JARVIS questioned.

"Yeah, now send for Potts will ya?" Tony removed his shirt and laid on a medical table, hooking up various wires and cables.

The door opens as Pepper arrives, a raised eyebrow and frown as her recently missing boss sat on the table for her, holding a glowing orb.

"Sir?" Pepper asks as Tony glances over and smirks.

"Glad you're here Potts, need your help." The inventor said

"And what, pray tell, could you need me for in this place?" Pepper frowned.

"Your slender hands, I don't think Ruby or Yang want to feel the inside of their Dad's chest." Tony joked as he held a glowing egg shaped device.

"Uh huh, and why my slender hands?" Pepper asks, placing down her clipboard and placing surgical gloves on.

Grabbing the egg from Tony, she watched her boss remove the current chestpiece before holding it.

"Because I trust you Potts, now reach in there grab the wire." He said as Potts grimaced before reaching in, feeling goo engulf her hand as a horrid stench made it's invasive way to her nostrils, instantly making her cringe away.

"Oh god, it smells like puss!" She complained as Tony sighed.

"Yeah, its discharged plasma, not gonna smell good." Tony chuckles as Pepper grabs the thin copper wire.

"Alright, I think I got it." She said pulling it upwards.

"Ah, ah, ah, ah!!!" Tony shouted as Pepper pulled the wire out along with a small brass circle.

"Ah you pulled it out." Tony sighed as Pepper looked on in horror.

"What do I do!?" She shouted in fear.

"You pulled it all the way out and now I'm going into cardiac arrest." He mumbled as the EKG beeped rapidly as Pepper began to panic.

"Don't worry, you're gonna be okay!" She said placing the wire on the table and grabbing the new Arc Reactor into Tony's chest as he yelped and sighed, the EKG going back to steady rhythmic beats.

"See, not so bad?" He grinned as Pepper growled before sighing.

"I am never, ever, in a million years doing that again." She chuckles lightly as Tony stood and flexed lightly.

"What're you gonna do with your old one?" She asks, admiring it.

"Oh that? Smash it, toss it, it's no use to me anymore." He said as Ruby ran down and grinned.

"Alright! The new reactor looks good!" She praised as Tony scooped the small girl into his arms and hugged her tightly.

"All thanks to you kiddo." He grinned.

"Who wants pizza?" He shouted walking upstairs with Ruby still in his arms.

Pepper smiled at them before grabbing the old Arc Reactor and turned it around in her hands before an idea came to mind.

~Unknown Cave~

Sitting on a throne of stone and purple rock, a pale lady in a black sleeveless dress sat with two black and white animals flanking her.

"Hm, are you sure?" She asks as a man walks over, fear in his eyes.

"Please ma'am, we'll find him I swear!" The man pleaded as the animals growled before standing up.

"You let a valuable bargaining chip escape so you could have him build missiles and he creates a suit of armor! Humans, so unreliable." The woman scoffs before waving her hand.

The tunnels of the cave erupted into screams of terror as the Grimm teared the man apart before silence overtook as Salem sighs.

"Tony Stark, you are indeed an anomaly." She said as an orb hovered over, showing real time of Tony and the girls.

"You underestimate the power your daughter holds, and soon enough, she will be mine."

A/N: I'm gonna take a break from The Spider of Remnant, mostly due to being burnt out. I'm hoping me doing other stories will take me out of that stupor to finish it soon as well with these others. Until next time, Tata for now!
