Chapter 8
Maddie lifted her head and yanked her rope bound ancles. After a few moments of struggling, she finally came to a conclusion.
"No," she said disappointed. "What about you?" She ran her right hand through her long brown hair.
"No." Ziva looked around the room.
Maddie looked at Ziva questionably. "Your worried. You miss someone. Who is it? Husband? Kids?"
Ziva was astonished. "Why do you think I am missing someone?"
"I can tell from the way you are looking around the room." Maddie laughed. "Its obvious to the trained eye."
"Im not married and have no kids, but i guess..." She paused. "I don't know, i guess im worried about my team..." She paused again, "my partner."
"Is this "partner in question" close to you?" Maddie asked.
"I trust him with my life. He traveled across the world against the director to save me from terrorists once." Ziva explained softly.
"Hey, it will be okey. You will see your partner again." Maddie calmly said.
"What got you here? What mission?" Ziva asked, thinking that the information that Maddie knows may be the reason that they are here.
Maddie shook her head and laid her hand on the heavy chains.
"Maddie I need to know." Ziva said slowly.
Maddie took a deep breath and turned her head toward Ziva. "Its not a mission." She mumbled still not wanting to tell her.
"Maddie. This could be what gets us out of here."
"Fine." Maddie leaned against the wall. "Three years ago, the Navy got their hands on a Russian..." Maddie paused. "Nuke. It was too dangerous to keep on american soil so SEC NAV ordered a navel ship to carry it." Maddie's eyes locked onto Ziva's. "And i know what coordinates the ship is at."
"Russian?" Ziva asked. Russians were very dangerous.
"Hundreds of Marrines are on that ship." Maddie mumbled.
"Maddie," Ziva whispered.
Maddie looked back up.
"Can you fight?" She asked. Ziva wanted to know what Maddies limits were.
Maddie faintly nodded.
Just then, the dead bolts on the iron door started to shuffle and unlock.
Maddie and Ziva through feared looked at each other as the door was opened.
"Ahh! Look who we have here!" A man said with a thick Russian accent said after walking into the room, leaving the door wide open.
"What the hell do you want?" Spat Ziva.
"Ohh! My darling, I want nothing but what is important." He said patting zivas head.
"Don't touch me." She snarled kicking his knee back making the Russian fall back.
"You will pay for that," he yelled standing up and storming out of the room, closing the door behind him, but, not locking it behind him.
