Chloe's POV.

I woke up at 7 so that I could be there at 8. I went into the bathroom brushed my teeth and hair and took a shower. I came out of the bathroom dried myself up and then wore a black pencil skirt with a white shirt. I tied my hair up in a neat pony tail and then applied a little bit of make up.

I came out of my apartment, locked my door. I had to take the bus because I have to save money.

My looks and my dressing style tells people one thing that in not poor but, the reality is that I'm poor and that I can't even afford a branded watch for myself. Yup, but I have an obsession with clothes. I always buy good and professional looking clothes that look good on me. I am lean but I am a junk eater, I eat a lot of junk food. My favorite food is pizza. I used to eat pizza everyday but now when I am not having a lot of money, I eat pizza with maddie only when we are having a girls night or something like that.

Anyways, I arrived at the Crawford industries right on time. It was 7:56. I took a deep breath and then stepped inside the building. Cold air greeted me and I was getting anxious with each step I took. I went to the reception and asked whether I could go to his floor or not, don't get me wrong but I don't just want to barge into his office without any ones permission.

The receptionist whose name I got to know was Sophie from her batch, she said that he was expecting me so I followed her to Christopher's office. When we reached the floor I I was in front of his office door. Sophie turned around and gave me a warm smile. "All the best for your first day!" She said.

"Thank you so much I really needed that" I said. I knocked at the door and then his husky voice came, "come in". I opened the door. He was sitting in his chair looking at me, no let me correct that staring at me. I came inside and stood in front of his desk.

"Good morning Christopher" I said and smiled. But he was staring at me blankly.

"Sit down Chloe" he said after what felt like an eternity of silence.

I sat in the chair, he was looking at me the whole time, watching my every move.

"So Chloe, maybe I don't have to explain it, you already know what are the works done by a personal assistant, you have to make my coffee, attend meetings with me, get my calls and transfer them to me only if they are important, and have a notepad and a pencil with you always so that you note my schedule, am I clear" he said in a calm and cool voice. "Yes Christopher" I said and smiled knowing that he was being a little professional with me.

"Good, that is your desk and here are some files that you have to check and mark all the points that are not clear or have no profit for our company" he said and gave me stack of files. I took the files and went over to my desk and sat there.

My desk had a laptop and also an iPhone on top of the laptop. "Uh Christopher this iPhone?" I asked expectantly. "Oh that iPhone is for you, I have already saved my number in it" he said and went back to his laptop.

I looked at the iPhone and again at him, he noticed me looking at him, and then he looked at me and smiled. "Don't worry Chloe, I know you have a little problem with using an iPhone but if you don't know how it works then you can ask me I will teach you, alright" he said reassuringly. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

Then I started doing my work. I started reading all the files and pointing out the things that do not benefit this company. I was so engulfed with work that I didn't even know how the time passed away.

6 hours and I'm starving, I didn't eat any breakfast not even a glass of milk I just came to work, and most of all I didn't pack any lunch, I don't want to spend money on anything because I'm already not having enough money to pay my bills.

Suddenly my stomach made a loud growling noise and I'm sure that he heard it, because when I looked up at him he was smirking, his eyes glistening with mischief.

"I already knew that you did not eat anything" he said and chuckled. I looked down and blushed a little. That was so embarrassing.

"Come on have lunch with me" he said and I looked up at him with wide eyes. Have lunch with this devil no freaking way, but why is he being so nice to me?, he wasn't like this in high school then why now?.

"Come on Chloe, you know that you are hungry, I know that you are hungry, then why are you starving yourself, I give you two options, one , eat lunch with me, two, starve." He said all the time having that little smirk on his face.

"The choice is yours" he said again. What to do?, what to do?. Should I go with him, or should I just starve.

Actually starving is a better option than having lunch with this idiot. But I can't take it anymore, I already feel dizzy.

"Okay I will come"
