2004, February 14th

Maia Stone was pacing back and forth in her fancy dress and high heels, her four year old daughter sitting quietly on the couch.

"Stop fussing, dad's okay, he just stopped by the flower shop. He got you some red roses," the young girl said, sounding strangely mature for her age.

Her mother just shook her head, to impatient for her child's antics. Finally, she heard the door open and her husband, Jacob Stone, stood in his suit, a bouquet of red roses in his hand.

"Shall we?" He asked. With out a second thought, the two left, leaving the girl with her brother.

2004, April 5th

"Aleris, you know the rules. No shoes on the furniture," her dad said, placing her shoes on the floor next to her bed.

"I don't want them to get wet," she said, placing them back on the small chair next to her bed.

Her dad just shook his head and left the room. "Night sweet heart!" He called, exiting for the night.

12:01 am

The pipe from the washer broke, water slowly, but steadily, filled the house. Her parents awoke to water four inches off the floor.

By now her father completely forgot what she said the night before and quickly set off to fix the house.

2008 November 29th

"Aleris, wake up, we need to get ready for school!" Her older brother, Liam, started to shake her shoulder.

"No need, school is canceled." Just as she said that, he got a notification saying it was closed due to icy roads.

2015, current day

She opened her journal and sketched what she saw. The flashing lights, the streets, everything!

The visions are worse now. A long string of blurred colors and images. She pressed her head to her hands, trying to ease the growing migraine. She sighed and flopped down on the bed, willing her curse to go away.
