Chapter One

The pencil tapped softly against the papers attached to the binders rings. Her body was slumped upon the wood desk as she presented a bored look toward her Teacher. Her tired eyes wandered toward the clock that was slower than a slug. Five minutes. Five dumb minutes until the bell rang. Then she could head home. Head home and just relax. Tonight was movie night. Her mother and her would upload Netflix. Her younger brother would join them and be annoying. Like usual.
"Psst, Carrie," She felt a light tap on her shoulder. Her pencil stopped tapping and she turned around in her seat. She stared down the 'teacher pet'.

"What?" She whispered in a hiss.

"How much time do we have?" The red head asked. Carrie rolled her eyes.

"Check your phone." Since your always on it she thought.

"It's dead." Brittney said. Carrie heaved a sigh.

"Five minutes." She said turning back around. Brittney smiled to herself. Carrie curled her lips up in annoyance as she heard her whisper to her friends. She scoffed and looked down at her paper. She sighed and tucked it inside her binder and zipped her bag open. She shoved her binder inside and placed her bag on her desk. She leaned her head forward onto the bag and groaned quietly. Her eyes felt like heavy weights. She closed her eyes and listened to her Teacher ramble. Only then did time fly. The bell rang and she jumped in her seat. Her eyes fluttered open and she stood. She heaved the bag over her shoulder and walked through the crowd of students. Her eyes zoned out on the crowd as she entered the hallway. She stalked down the hall and toward the Junior parking lot. She pushed open the doors and walked down the concrete. She heaved another sigh of exhaustion as she went toward her car in the burning heat. She could barely make out the heat waves radiating off the black. She cringed. She was not looking forward to a hot car. She took off her lanyard and unlocked her car. She opened the drivers door and threw her bag to the passenger side. She climbed in and shut the door. She took off her jacket (the school was freezing) and blasted the AC as soon as she started the engine. She leaned back in her seat and grabbed the seatbelt. She cursed as she grabbed the metal, burning her hand. She grew frustrated and snatched the leather and threw it over her body. She clicked the buckle in place. A quiet noise of vibration caught her attention. She leaned over and dug into her bag for her phone. She pulled it out and saw her mother had texted her.

Pick up your brother please.

Carrie grumbled under breath and  put it back in her bag. She sighed and checked the rear view mirror effortlessly. She saw it was clear and threw the car in reverse. She reached over and turned on the radio as she went out of school campus. She tapped her finger against the wheel as she listened quietly.

...

She pulled up to the school drive in and placed her foot on the brake. She watched her little brother bounce up to the door and swing it open. He groaned.
"Ew. It's you." He mumbled as he hopped in and slammed the door.

"Well that was rude." She huffed and turned down the radio before driving off. "Seatbelt." She said firmly. He rolled his eyes and put the seatbelt over him.

"Well your moody after school. Besides I asked mom to pick me up." He sighed and looked outside the window. Carrie felt her stomach turn. She didn't mean to be grouchy but she spent 7 hours of her life in hell. She bit her lip and thought for a moment.

"You have to understand mom's busy sometimes. You know how late she works." She shrugged. The little boy didn't respond. "So...Michael. How was school?" The little boys hazel eyes lit up and he turned to his sister.

"It was awesome! Jacob made a fart sound whenever Mrs. Winters walked!" He giggled. Carrie grinned and snorted slightly. She pulled up to the corner, ready to turn.

"I don't think that's very appropriate."
She turned and accelerated.

"But you laughed." He protested with a smile. Knowing he was right.

"Yes but I-." She was cut off as the left side of the black vechile caved into them. They screamed as the glass shattered and they skidded across the road. They were pushed around and Carrie felt a sickening pain in the side of her arm. She screamed and felt her leg be caved in by the door. Metal on metal filled their ears and headlights flashed. Their vechile flipped off the road and onto the ditch on the side. Michaels sobs and screams filled her ears but she couldn't move. Everything became a blur and they went limp as the work went black.

...

The black mech groaned as he felt the ache and pain sink into his front. He knew he wouldn't be transforming any time soon. Ratchet was going to be pissed. Ironhide didn't even see the fleshings coming. All he remembered was chasing after a Decepticon when humans came out of no where. He saw the others in the ditch. His sensors picked up breathing and plenty of blood. Slag. He activated his comm and contacted base. Primus he screwed up.
