When we reached the very top to the ferris wheel, the ride stopped.

"Look," Slick pointed to a hawk the soared close to the ride.

"Whoa." I smiled, we both scooted to the side where you could see the hawk much better.

"They could have stopped it because they didn't want to hurt it." He said, hand resting on top of mine. I let it rest there, until I turned my hand over where my palm was facing up. His fingers slid between my own, I took a side glance over at him and he was smiling staring blankly out the window to the clouds. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"This is nice." I said so quietly it was nearly a whisper.

"Yeah." His chin softly rested on the top of my head. "Yeah." He repeated it a second time, much softer. The rest of the ride was quiet other that's the sound of our breathing and my heart thumping in my throat.

"Hey look." I pointed to Artemis and Wally, waiting at the bottom. We walked hand in hand over.

"Here." We gave them the money. "Get yourselves each a bathing suit."

"Alrighty. You two have fun, but not too much fun." Wally said, cracking up a storm.

"Shut up." Slick said whacking the back of his head as they walked away. We sat on a bench and waited for them to finish choosing. I left to change, and when I came back everyone else was also changed.

"Let's go to the water park!" We rented ourselves a locker and put our clothes in it.

"What's first? Wave pool, the super steep slides over there, the slide where you get a floating thing, lazy river?" I asked.

"I'm going to ride some rides. Wanna come Artemis." Wally asked.

"Fine afterwards were going to the wave pool." She said, once again being dragged away for Wally's love of rides.

"Lazy river?" Slick asked.

"How about the steep slides first? When we'll do the lazy river." I suggested.

"Okay. The line looks pretty long wanna grab some Dots before jumping in line?"

"Sure." The Dots Ice cream was the ice cream made of little dots. We order on large cookie dough. We ate together, moving up the slow moving line.

"I'm doing the purple twisting one, the blue one with bumps and the really steep orange are hella scary." One of the guys in font of us was telling his buddy.

"Yeah same." He answered.

"Which do you wanna do?" Slick asked.

"The blue one feels like you're gonna fly off!" Someone ahead said.

"The blue one." I answered.

"I think I'm gonna do the orange." Slick said.

"You guys are crazy." The one guy from before said. We finished the Dots and thee them away in the trash that was at the top.

"Race ya." I said sitting in the spot waiting for the lifeguard to give the all clear.

"You are so on." He smirked. "I've got the faster one."

"I'm still gonna bet you."

"Alright." The bored lifeguard said. I pushed off, crossing my ankles and arms across my chest. The bumps sent you in the air for about two second, leaving for another two, reaching a bump, and repeating the cycle. Slick was laughing his head off. He was catching up. But when we reached the bottom, it was a tie.

"I won." He claimed.

"Ha ha. It was a tie." I rolled my eyes.

"Sure." He said. "Sure."

"Lazy river now?" He asked.

"Alright." The line was unbelievable.
