Chapter Two: Brothers

Pick of Kai & Ash in their assassin suits!

Kai scans over New Ninjago City with his high tech binoculars. "What's your favorite color? Mine is yellow! Oooh! Do you like to read? I really don't, but if you that's fine! Do you like girls, guys, or both? I like girls myself, but I totally get it if you don't! What was training like for you? Mine involved a lot of push ups! What was your best subject in training? Mine was close range combat! Do you have any siblings from your father? I don't! Have you ever broken a rule? I haven't! Do you-" Kai cuts Ash's line of questions with a hand over the mouth. "Shut up! This is a mission! Now get focused or get lost!" Kai whisper shouts with a pissed off look. The fire ninja had to admit, this guy seemed to have more lung capacity then Jay! Did he ever breath?!

Ash huffs at his new found brother's attitude then remembers something. "Oh. My. Gosh." He says in shock. Kai looks to him. "What is it now 9 6 9?" The elder male asks him. "THE LEGENDARY ASSASSIN IS MY OLDER BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ash squeals. Kai cringes at the high volume and glares at Ash. "Pipe down! You'll blow our cover!" Kai scolds him, looking angry. Ash shuts up at the sight of Kai's pissed off look.

Kai goes back to what he was doing and Ash lays on his back, watching the stars. When Kai finds what he's looking for he kicks Ash's side. "Come on 9 6 9! It's time!" He whisper yells to his little brother. The two grab their bags and take off, Kai in the lead. When they reach on final roof top, they put on masks and jump on top of a passing by limbo. Kai punches in the sun roof and jumps in with Ash behind him. They come face to face with some body guards that Ash takes out with his sword, killing the men three times his size. Kai then uses his dagger on the man they were protecting. "Target taken out. Mission full filled. Time to leave." Kai says to Ash. "Alright." Ash says. They slip out the way they got in and disappear into the night.

As they land on a roof on their way home, Kai turns around to Ash suddenly. Ash stops and gulps at Kai's glare. "You better hope we don't get paired up again. You are no assassin! You barely focus, don't listen to my instruction the first time it's given even though I have authority as the senior agent, and never shut up. Your lucky I don't report this behavior! If you end up with me again? The first time you slip up will be your last!" Kai shouts as he holds a knife to Ash's throat. "Got that?" He asks. Ash nods vigorously. Kai huffs & nods then continues on his way.

The next day, Kai is stuck with Ash for another mission, the two now being pronounced a team by their mother. "Great.... Not." Kai mutters. The two brothers head out.

~Mean While~

"Where the hell is Kai?! I can't find him any where!" Jay shouts. "Neither could I." Zane admits. "He isn't in his room." Nya says. "Where could he be?" Cole asks. "Guys, I'm getting worried." Lloyd says nervously. They all look to each other worried. Misako sounds over the intercom. "We'll have to worry about Kai latter, he's an adult who can handle himself. For now, we have a mission." She says and they nod. Everyone meets in the brig for the mission.

"A report has come in. The mayor of New Ninjago City may be in danger. A guild of assassins known as the Kenketsu are suspected to target him tonight." Misako explains. They all nod and go to get ready.

~Time skip provided by: GREEN FIRE!~

Lloyd and the others all stand around a room. "Since when are we bodyguards?" Cole asks no one in particular. "Since the Mayor of N.N.C. Became the Kenketsu's next target for unknown reasons." Zane answers. "N.N.C?" Nya asks. "It means New Ninjago City." Jay explains. "Still can't believe Kai disappeared." Cole announces. "Neither can I." Jay says.

Kai and Ash look into the room housing the ninja from a rooftop. "Great, now we have company." Kai mutters. He pulls his mask on. "Do you know them?" Ash asks. "Yeah, their my cover." Kai explains. Ash nods in understanding. "Be careful, they have elemental powers." Kai warns. "Got it." Ash replies. "And watch for the green one, he's the most powerful. No normal human can fight him and win. Avoid him at all costs. If it comes down to it, I'll fight him, but only me. I'm not exactly human after all." Kai explains. Ash nods in compliance, not wanting to die.

Lloyd goes to the opposite side of the room as the others and sighs. Normally he & Kai would go off like this and just talk. He loved that. He loved Kai. He missed Kai. An alarm sounds and everyone prepares to fight. After a while of building tension, the alarms are turned off and a guard comes in scratching his head nervously. "Sorry about that, false alarm." He explains and everyone relaxes. The guard steps in and closes the door. "I was asked to stay here, in case anymore false alarms sound. They can just radio me then I can tell you directly. It... It's a new system so there have been some bugs." He explains with his back to them as he locks the door with a sinister grin and red, hypnotized eyes.

The next thing the ninja know, the room fills with fog and a laugh is heard. A glove covered hand reaches out and flips a switch on Zane, turning him off. Jay, who was close enough to see Zane, freaks out. "Why does he even have an off switch?!" The blue ninja yells as a fire melts the switch, making it impossible to turn Zane back on. "Oh come on!" Jay shouts.

The fog clears and two men in all black stand there. They had head covering masks on with white where the eyes go, obviously some kind of white fabric letting them see while covering their eyes. The guard stands between them and his eyes now show the hypnotism he's under. "No way! They got a hypnobrai helping them?!" Jay shouts. "Shut up!" Cole yells at him, annoyed at how much he's been talking today. The black ninja turns to Nya. "Is it just me, or has he been talking more then usual today?" Cole asks. Nya shrugs.

Kai smirks under his mask. Now he knew who Ash reminded him of, Jay! He looks to Lloyd and blushes. Oh how he did love that green ninja. He heard Jay running at him and caught the blue ninja by his throat. "Well, well, well.... Don't you know that ninja are suppose to be silent?" He asks Jay. The blue ninja gags as he gasps for air. Cole runs at him, but this ninja knew how to be quiet about it. Ash kicks Cole in the stomach with a laugh. Cole goes flying back and crashes into the wall, making a Cole shaped hole in it. Lloyd comes at Ash, who squeals in fright and runs out of the way, remembering his brothers warnings. Nya looks Ash up and down then notices the number on his chest where a name tag would be. "969?" She asks aloud. Then Jay notices the number on Kai's suit. 769? Was the question on the blue ninja's mind. Nya uses her water to slip Kai up.

"Thanks." Jay says once free. "Anytime." Nya says. Cole comes out of the wall. Kai runs over to Ash. "The blue one uses lightning, the black one earth, the white one I turned off is ice, the girl is water, and the green one uses powerful energy blasts." He whispers in his brothers ear. Ash nods in understanding and goes after Nya. Kai tries for Lloyd, but Jay & Cole block him. Soon enough, Ash knocks Nya out and diverts the black & blue ninja from his brother, leaving Kai free to fight Lloyd clear on the other side of the room, where it becomes hard to be heard by the others.

"You look nice." Kai says in a seductive voice that makes Lloyd blush. Lloyd recognizes the voice of the male in front of him that he could only call 769 right now, but he didn't know where from. "Come here often?" The assassin asks seductivly. "Really? That line?" Lloyd asks with a slightly annoyed face. "Oh come on cutie." Kai says in a cocky manner. Lloyd can't help but blush at the others flattery. "Sh-shut up!" Lloyd lets out and Kai smirks.

The two continue on with Kai's lame pick up lines & Lloyd blushing rejections till Ash comes over. "7 6 9! I took out the target! Come on!" Ash calls to Kai. "G-good job 9 6 9! Let's go!" Kai says, having zoned into the one on one time with his crush. "You OK big bro?" Ash asks. Kai nods. "Y-yeah... Go on ahead, g-gotta make sure this one doesn't follow us." Kai answers. Ash nods then takes off. "You two are brothers?" Lloyd asks Kai. "Half brothers, but yeah." Kai answers. Lloyd nods. "I'd like to make you and him brothers though." Kai says flirtatiously. "H-how?" Lloyd asks, blushing even more under his mask. "You know, brother-in-laws, baby." Kai answers seductivly.

Lloyd gets so flustered by this point that he trips over his own two feet. "Number one, your the enemy. Number two, I like someone else." Lloyd says and Kai cuts him off there. "And let me guess.... Your with that someone?" Kai asks. "W-well no.... I like him.... But..... I don't even know his sexuality." Lloyd answers sadly. Kai smiles sadly. A groan is heard as Cole is waking up from being knocked out by Ash. Kai takes this as his que to to knock Cole right back out and race to the window. Lloyd runs after him. "Hold up! I still need to arrest you!" Lloyd calls. Kai stops, thinking Lloyd might be stupid. "Who tells someone their going to arrest them then expects that person to actually wait for them?" Kai asks. Lloyd stops right when he reaches Kai and his eyes go wide.

"I feel stupid now." Lloyd admits. Kai rolls his eyes then grabs Lloyd's waist. He pins Lloyd to the wall and uses a hand to pin Lloyd's arms above his head then pushes his pelvis into Lloyd's to better keep the green ninja in place. Kai then uses his free hand to lift Lloyd's hood. When he sees Lloyd's blushing face he smirks in triumph. He then lifts just enough of his hood to reveal his lips and kisses Lloyd. The two both moan as Lloyd can't help but instinctively rub his, uh, member against Kai. Things slowly pick up before Kai hears Jay waking up and heads out the window quicker then Lloyd could blink. Leaving the young male flustered, turned on, and breathless.

Jay walks over, holding the back of his head where Ash knocked him out. "Oh shit, my head hearts. Why are you on the ground like that?" The blue ninja says. Lloyd quickly stands up, throws his hood back on, and turns around, trying to hide his bonner. "Uh, um.... I got knocked out to!" Lloyd says nervously. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to use the restroom!" Lloyd says then races out the room. Jay scratches the back of his head then picks up Cole and Nya then grabs Zane and calls for Wu and the bounty.

Kai catches up with Ash. "Red, Only history books, both, you wouldn't want to know, tourcher, one, and yes." Kai says from out of no where. "W-what?" Ash asks, wondering what was up & if Kai was still sane. "Those questions you asked me on our first mission together. My favorite color is red, the books I like to read are history ones, I am a bisexual and therefore like both genders, you don't want to know what training I went through, I aced all my training classes perfectly but was best in the field of tourcher, I have one sibling from my father, that water ninja, Nya, and yes, I've broken a rule or two in the past." Kai explains. Ash smiles wide. "Cool! But why history?" He asks. "I love history. It's always fascinated me." Kai answers. They smile to each other. "Now come on baby brother." Kai says and Ash pouts. "I'm not that young!" Ash shouts then they both laugh. "Just come on Rooky!" Kai says and they head for the Guild's HQ.

Now? They were true brothers.
