First Date
Jessica's POV:
I was waiting at the cafe for Nicolai to arrive. I kept looking at my watch, like I was in a hurry. While in reality that wasn't the case. The truth was I had plenty of time to spare for my date with Nicolai. In fact, the reason why I was constantly looking at my watch was because I was getting impatient. I was so excited to go on this date with Nicolai, that I wanted him to arrive right now so our date will begin. I don't know exactly what I like about Nicolai. It could be that he is a very attractive young man, or it could be that he is sweet and kind to me. A very likeable man if I may say so.
Anyway, since it is my first date with him, I wanted to look my best. I left my hair down, so that I could show how long it is, since it touched my lower back. I put on silver earrings and necklace to match my outfit. I had on a romper, that was mainly a light color but that also had a pattern of black on it. And for shoes, I wore high black boots, that went up to my knees, to bring out the black on my romper. I felt very pretty in this outfit and couldn't wait to hear what Nicolai thought about it.

I looked at my watch one more time and saw that it was exactly noon. When I lowered my watch, I heard someone say, "Hello Jessica."
I looked over my shoulder and saw Nicolai. He was dressed in a black suit and tie. He held a red rose in his hand. I stood up from my seat and turned my body, to face him.
"Hello Nicolai." I replied.
The two of us ended up staring at each other for a few awkward seconds, before he presented me with a red rose. I gently took the rose by its stem. I raised it up to my nose and sniffed it.
"Thank you, Nicolai." I thanked. "You didn't have to do that, though."
"Oh but I had too. I believe that every beautiful and unique young woman should be presented with a flower almost as beautiful as she is." Nicolai said.
I couldn't help, but blush and smile at the same time.
"And that outfit you are wearing looks outstanding on you." Nicolai complimented.
"You are too kind, Nicolai."
Another awkward moment of silence occurred. I simply smiled, as Nicolai kept looking at me.
"Well then," Nicolai began. "shall we begin our date?"
"Yes, yes of course."
Nicolai offered his arm to me, which I greatly grabbed onto as we walked together. He led me into the park where he showed me to a secret location, that was hidden from everybody else from the tall trees. I was curious to know what Nicolai had planned. But when we turned a corner, I saw a beautiful set up for a picnic. I let go of his arm and covered my mouth with my hands. I was so surprised.
"Do you like it?" he asked.
"I love it, Nicolai." I answered. "I can't believe you did all of this for a first date."
"What? I need to make a good impression and I thought this would be a good way to do that."
I started to blush again. Nicolai took my hand and led me over to the blanket, where he helped me sit down. Then, he sat down with me.
"Well then, shall we dig in?" he asked, as he reached for the picnic basket.
"Yes." I replied.
Nicolai opened the picnic basket open and handed me a sandwich, then he took out two plastic cups and filled them up with wine. And then the grapes were taken out, which we both started to throw at each other and see which one was the better one at catching grapes in our mouths. It was quite a wonderful date. Perhaps the best one I have ever had.
At four o'clock, Nicolai drove me back to my hotel, so I could prepare for another volleyball game that I had. He walked me to my hotel door. I turned around to face him and said, "Thank you for the wonderful picnic today. I had a wonderful time."
"I'm glad." was all he said in return.
I opened my hotel bedroom door and was about to walk in before Nicolai said, "When can I see you again?"
I looked back at him and replied with, "How about tomorrow?"
"Excellent!"
"Great!Until tomorrow then. Have a good night, Nicolai." I said, before I went into my hotel room and shut the door.
