Darkness finally came, and Ivy stood up, stretching her limbs. Retrieving the metal tray from where she had hidden it, Ivy stepped up on the blankets and reached her hands towards the window. Her fingertips touched the glass, and she reviewed the plan she had hastily made.
Taking a deep breath, Ivy slammed the metal tray against the glass, shattering it. Knowing she didn't have much time, she dropped the tray and pulled herself up out of the window. She quickly lowered herself out the other side of the window from her hands, and then dropped the rest of the short way until the ground.
As soon as her feet hit the ground, she started running towards the pod Lenan had arrived in. She heard shouts of alarm behind herself, and pushed herself to go faster.
Just before she arrived at the pod, she suddenly made a decision and turned towards the mansion. Taking a slight detour to avoid the guards seeing her, she arrived at the side of the house, adrenaline pumping through her veins.
"Why on earth am I doing this?" she muttered to herself, "Well it's too late to go back right now."
Ivy glanced up at the walls, and spotted the nearest window, which was slightly above her reach. She over at the pod, where Stellas were looking around for her. Knowing she had to act quickly, Ivy jumped, grabbing the window sill, and pulling up. Her muscles strained as they tried to pull her own weight up, but she refused to give up. Finally, she pulled herself high enough to put a knee on the sill to take the strain off her arms.
Pausing to recover slightly, she looked nervously out, checking to see if anyone was coming. Seeing no one, Ivy slammed her fist into the window, breaking it. She gasped in pain, but kept going, dropping to the other side.
Turning quickly, Ivy saw that she was in an empty room, devoid of anything. There were two doors, one on each side of the room, and Ivy hesitated. Coming to a decision, she ran over to the right door, and opened it a crack so she could see into it.
Again, no one was in the room, but this room included a single table. On top of the table were three rows of five brown bottles. Ivy recognized the bottles as ones that looked identical to the one Lenan had brought. She swallowed hard and stepped quickly over to them. Glancing back at the door, Ivy took four bottles, each of which were marked with different runes, and left the room again.
She fled to the window she had entered through and quickly placed the bottles on the window sill. She painstakingly pulled herself up onto the window sill and picked the bottles back up. Ivy dropped to the ground and started sprinting for the pod.
The area around the pod had cleared out somewhat since she had last seen it, and she made it within three yards of it without being spotted. Shouts of alarm sounded as she was spotted, but she ignored them, focused on making it to the pod.
She stifled a cry as her feet sank into the murky substance that Lenan had landed the pod in. Furrowing her brow, Ivy fought her way through the substance. She reached the pod and clambered on board, bolting to the pod controls.
She stared at the controls, not having the slightest idea how to work them. Biting her lip, she reached forward to try a button.
And then her hair was grabbed, and she was yanked backwards.
And you will see what happens next Monday! Oh wait... it's not Monday today!
But anyway I am going to start trying to update each Monday!
So bye bye!
