"We're back Revamped The madness never ends We're not Alone This time we've brought some friends. No doors No hope. But you keep coming back
But if this is what you want Then you can be just like us It's what we're made to do
You act like we're to blame Wear a mask to hide yourself. When really it makes us the same
A couple hours but it's feelin' like days Now you're runnin' out of power
Leave you mangled and winding away."

-Corina-

It was night time which was, of course, one of the banes of my existence. I stood in the corner of my room just watching the dolls, staring at them and waiting as I held Opal to my chest for comfort.

It wasn't too long before I heard it. A small childlike giggle, I narrowed my eyes at the pile of dolls as the giggling continued.

Should I run for the door? Can I even get to it before they get me?

I bit my lip as I glanced at the door, my only exit, my only escape.

"Play...with us...puppet master."

I frantically looked around the room but saw no sign that showed where the voice had come from. When I turned my attention back to the doll pile I froze up in pure horror.

All of the dolls had moved, all ten of them had run off and scattered throughout the room.

I swallowed hard and glanced at the door, for a few moments I just waited then I bolted.

I ran to the door grabbing the handle at the same time something latched onto my right leg.

I let out a shriek but continued to open the door. The door opened for me without any resistance whatsoeve.

It's not locked?

I kicked my leg while shaking it at the same time as I tried to throw the doll off of me. I heard a light thud as the doll fell off of me before I heard the voice again.

"Puppet master, oh puppet master won't you play with us?"

I ran out of the room not bothering to close the door behind me.

Taiga, I need to find Taiga he can help me.

I ran down the hallway the giggling of the dolls following me the whole time.

I eventually reached Taiga's room but when I peered inside I found it empty.

"No," I whispered.

A glass jar suddenly hit the wall next to me bursting on impact and showering me with some type of green liquid and small pieces of glass.

I winced as I briefly looked at the liquid a rotten and horrible smell entering my nose as I did.

What is this?

I glanced at the remains of the broken jar and saw something pink and fleshy looking sitting among the glass.

Brains. It's a brain!

I gritted my teeth and swallowed hard as bile rose in my throat, I gripped Opal to my chest as I began shaking slightly.

I need Taiga. He has to be with Doctor Oswald.

I began running again the glass piercing and scratching my bare feet as I did. For a moment I stumbled losing my balance briefly and Opal fell out of my arms.

I groaned as my feet throbbed and bled. Opal let out a meow and pulled at the hem of my pajama pants.

"I'm coming, Opal but it hurts the glass..." I whispered.

Opal let out another meow and then he started batting gently at my injured feet. His paws managed to remove some of the glass and make the pain more bearable.

I started walking as quickly as I could limping as I did.

"Puppet master, oh puppet master. Poor injured puppet master," the dolls whispered.

I followed Opal and eventually managed to make my way to Doctor Oswald's office.

I noticed that the door was cracked slightly and I could smell a pungent coppery scent coming from inside. It was like the room had been filled with a bunch of old, wet pennies.

I slowly opened the door and then I just froze.

The room was covered in red and a bunch of meaty chunks were everywhere. It was like someone had taken a can of sloppy Joe and threw it everywhere.

In the middle of all the gore stood a blood covered Taiga. He stood next to Doctor Oswald's chair just smiling slightly.

He slowly looked at me and grinned. "Ah, Corina you're here. Are you ready to leave now?" He asked me slowly.

I glanced around the room again before I struggled to hold back the bile that was in my throat.

After a few moments I spoke, "W-what did you do?" I whispered my voice shaking.

"I didn't like his so called therapy, Mistress. He hurt you with it didn't he?" Taiga said slowly, then he let out a sigh and looked back at the blood covered chair. "Sadly he didn't react well when I tried his soul, the result is well all over the room as you can see," he told me slowly.

I continued to stare at Taiga in horror. "You eat...souls," I whispered trying to take a step back however my injuries gave me trouble.

"Of course I do, Corina. Every living puppet has something specific they eat. For me it's souls," he told me frowning.

"Why, why did you do this?! Are you going to hurt me?" I asked him frantically.

For a moment he looked offended. "Of course I wouldn't hurt you, Corina. You're my, Mistress. My puppet master, we're bonded by the soul," he told me.

My hand instantly went to my chest, over my heart where I assumed that my soul was.

"I never did that," I said slowly.

"Well not you in this lifetime, but when you first summoned me and created me you gave me half your soul. It's how I find you no matter where you are or who you may be because we are bonded. We are one," he told me almost gently.

That girl, Millia. That must have been another me if he's telling the truth.

Taiga walked toward me and I took a careful step back. He frowned at me and a look of sadness covered his face.

"I won't hurt you, Mistress I never would. I just want to help you escape," he said.

"You're wrong! I saw you, you asked, Millia if she was ready to die yet," I whispered.

In the next moment, I didn't see Taiga move but he was suddenly in front of me. I let out a yelp and stumbled back falling to the floor.

Taiga simply lifted me into his arms without a word. I began to struggle picking up Opal as I did.

"Let me go! Get away from me!" I shouted.

However Taiga ignored me then he leaped right out of the window, shattering the glass on the way through. I gripped Opal tightly to my chest as we soared through the air for a few moments.

Then we landed, right into a river. I began gasping and failing as I struggled to stay above the freezing cold water. Each time I went under more salty water filled my mouth.

"Help! Please help me! I can't swim!" I shouted.

But there was no answer from Taiga, Opal gripped the front of my pajamas as I went under once again.

The water was dark as it covered me, completely obscuring my vision.

Is this it? Is this how I die?

My body felt heavier and warm. I blinked slowly as the edges of my vision turned black.

Very quickly I lost consciousness.
