Richard's POV

Richard sat in his room, listening to music on the MP3  player he shared with Brian, another kid at the Orphanage. A knock on the door made him turn off the music, and call out, "Come in!" Mr. Brown, the man who owned the Orphanage, strode in. "Richard, you are a very lucky boy. Someone very special wants to adopt you." Richard jumped up, barely containing his excitement. "Really? I'm really getting adopted?" He had been here for as long as he could remember. Now he was finally leaving! "Yes," Mr.. Brown said. "You have stayed here so long, I was going to have you work here!" Richard cringed at Brown's poor attempt at humor. "Uh, sure. Who wants to adopt me?" Would it be some bum? no, Mr. Brown said it was someone special. Maybe someone rich? "Bruce Wayne." Brown said. Richard was no idiot. He knew Bruce Wayne was some snooty rich guy, owner of Wayne enterprises (duh). "Yay." Richard said sarcastically. "All right, let's get this thing over with."
