Alex watched her father sadly as he went through the same speech as usual keeping her head down sadly. She jumped softly as her mother stood to address the witch, "Witch do you know the crimes you are paying for? Do you understand what is happening and do you repent to your sins?" she called out Alex cringed knowing that no matter what the poor woman would say the outcome would be exactly the same. Scanning the crowd Alex saw the almost blue hair from before without thinking she suddenly stood up staring wide eyed at her friends who were so desperately looking at the captured witch. Her mother and father turned to Alex quickly a bit surprised with her sudden change in atmosphere. "Ah yes, People of the kingdom twelve years ago you were granted with the news of a new child to the throne," Her father piped up smiling softly "We have decided today, despite this drastic news of a witch among us..." her father spat the word like poison at the prisoner "To introduce you to your future King!" Alex's father grinned at the cheers he received Alex looked distracted at the crowd losing sight of Raven and Jay as soon as she had stood up. "Alex" her mother said through gritted teeth "greet your kingdom" she urged. Alex looked up at her parents nervously then cleared her throat "P-People of the Kingdom..." Alex said trying to sound loud and confident like a true king would "I have yet to reach the age where I am to lead you but..." she trailed off suddenly losing her train of thought she looked around desperately trying to think of something to say the crowd was eerily silent as she looked suddenly remembering the witch she turned and faced her "but," she repeated "I hope I can be remembered for ridding the town of something this dangerous" she finished "if you will excuse me I still have much to learn and must get back to the castle to finish my lessons" Alex said trying to back away from everyone her parents looked back sternly but allowed her to leave to the carriage followed by a handful of guards to keep the crowd away "That was hell" she mumbled to herself and glanced back at the witch who was now dangerously close to death with no help from Alex.
