Alyssa pov

I went to bed after eating dinner with my daughter Lilly I was so tired after working for 12 hours so I pulled the blankets over me and went to sleep.

BOOM!

I woke up with a start I looked at my clock and it was 12 at midnight when I heard another sound so I moved my blankets and slowly walked to the windows, I moved the blinds and I saw buildings burning, my eyes went wide in fear and I ran to my closet, I grabed all my clothes and I put them in my backpack.

I ran to Lilly's room and started packing all her things in her small backpack, she was still asleep so I ran to her to wake her up. "Lilly wake up! We have to go,!" I said shaking her until she opened up her eyes still half asleep
"Mommyy what's going on?," She said yawning.

I didn't say anything, I didnt want to scare her so I picked her up and I carried her to the car, I open the back seat door and I sit her down, I buckled her up and put her blanket over her, she went back to sleep so I close the door, I go back inside to grab are things then I put them in the trunk I close it and I get in the drivers seat, I start the car and start driving away.

30 minutes later

We end up at a gas station I pull in and turn off the car, looking back seeing Lilly still asleep I sigh, I get out of the car and walk into the store to get food for the road when I go to pay I looked at the tv and everything was shit there was a women being eaten and everyone running and people being shot, it was scary.

I wanted to leave fast so I paid and grabbed everything and fasted walked to the car. After putting everything up and getting in the car I drove, after driving for 20 minutes I see cop cars going to the other Direction where the city is. I didn't know what the hell was going on and I was scared for myself and Lilly so I drove faster I didn't no where I was going but all I know is it would be safer then in the city.
