Two kits were born today, both to one of the female cats in the dome. We do not know who the father is, and in two days we are going to take in one of the kits to do a DNA test.

The other cats in the female group seem to be showing protective behaviours, bringing her food, and generally showing particular care for her. Testing on one of the kits will start the day after tomorrow.

Day 42
Tomorrow is the day for the testing. We have chose which kit to test on. The little silver one, as we believe he is stronger. Now, I need coffee. And sleep.

Day 43, 8:00 A.M.
We are doing the DNA test in approximately two hours. We have successfully removed the kitten from the dome, and one of the scientists is feeding him now.

Day 43, Noon
The test has just started. It's going well, so far.

Day 43, 1:30 P.M.
The test was a success, and we will get the results back in exactly two weeks. But sadly, we lost the little male in the process. Other scientists are trying to find a way to keep this accident from interfering with our studies.

Day 43, 6:00 P.M.
The other scientists have decided that we must do a full memory wipe on all the cats. This is a minor setback, but the experiment will be back on track within a few days, so it'll be worth it.
