Hayden walks into class with Beatrix, Sadie, and this Shian kid. He doesn't like him. He hit on his....his......his.....friend. His crush? He doesn't know. He feels like he has feelings for her, she's so beautiful, but she's his friend. You aren't supposed to fall for your friends, he always thinks. But she's so perfect to him. He doesn't know what to do, but he does know there is something not quite right about Shian. Him showing up on the day before the last day of school, making Beatrix, the most unlovey person in the world, go googley. It doesn't make sense to him.

Anyway, the classroom is full with balloons, food, a piñata, it is just insane. Hayden laughs as he goes inside, because their teacher is wearing a party hat. They sit down in their desks, and luckily, Shian's desk ends up behind Beatrix, so they can't talk as easily. Hayden smiles and looks back at the teacher. "Welcome class, to party day! I know we have a new student, his name is Shian, he's right over there," the teacher waved in the direction of Shian, "ok. Anyway, today just hang out with your buddies and relax, and one more thing. I know you're in ninth grade and next year you'll be tenth graders and that some of you have 'special friends', there will be no PDA during this time, kapiesh?" The teacher announces. We all laugh, Mr.Friddeson is the best teacher. I'm gonna miss him next year, Hayden thought. Hayden glances at Beatrix. She's still laughing and her eyes are sparkling. She looks so perfect, Hayden thinks. Her messy ombré hair is gorgeous and wonderful. Hayden sighs, then stands up.

"Who wants to party?" He exclaims. Everyone laughs and stands up and Mr. Friddeson turns on the music. People start dancing and Hayden looks at Beatrix. She's dancing with Sadie and Shian is not there currently. This is the perfect time to ask her to the dance, he thinks. He walks over to Sadie and Beatrix. "Will you-" He starts but is cut off by Shian.

"Will you go to the dance with me, Beatrix?" Shian asks her, giving her a large bouquet of flowers. Where did he get those? Hayden thinks. Does he plan on asking girls to dances everyday and breaking their best friend who loves them's heart? Hayden sighs and looks at Beatrix for her answer.

"Yes!" She says, and hugs him, then Mr. Friddeson looks at them and mouths, 'No PDA' and they break off and blush.

"Hey, Beatrix, I thought we were going to the dance as a group, not in couples!" Sadie says, obviously offended by her answer.

"Oh yeah," Beatrix says, "Well, Shian can tag along with us. Oh and also, Shian we're having a party right after school as like an end of the year party. Come right after school, of course you can change first because there will be a pool, and it lasts until everybody has to leave."

"Ok, sounds good I'll come." Shian replies. Yes! Hayden thinks. Now I can keep an eye on them at both places and make sure nothing fishy happens between them. This is going good for Hayden.
