A/N: This chapter is exactly 2100 words excluding my author's notes. It's a few hundred shorter than I like to make them, but I'm satisfied with what I've written.

(Todoroki POV.)

Momo's been acting strange these last few days. Ever since she got sick it seems like she's been avoiding me. She hardly looks at me or comes near me and she always looks like there's something bothering her, but she doesn't want to talk about it... I'm pretty sure that she's also been throwing up in the mornings and has been getting nauseous throughout the day, but she won't talk to me about it.. I'm worried about her since this doesn't seem to be getting any better but she won't accept any of my help...

I can't think about this right now though. I need to stay focused on my task at hand. Right now I'm chasing down a criminal who just robbed multiple stores at the shopping mall.

It's only a single man, but his quirk is some form of duplication. I don't know if they're solid clones or illusions, there's too many people around for me to attempt to attack with my quirk. The man and his clones split up, but I've kept my eye on the one I believe is the original.

I chase him out of the mall and into the street. Now I can use my quirk since there's less people around. With all the snow around and the frozen air, I quickly and swiftly freeze the snow solid, trapping him in place. I create ice spikes and shoot them up, trapping him further in between them all.

"Dammit! Let me go you bastard!" he shouts. Several clones form from his body and surround him, all taking fighting stances and glaring my way.

"Okay. Let's end this quickly." I can't use my flames otherwise I'll melt the ice I trapped him with.

I create more spikes from the ground and pierce half of the clones, causing them to disappear and leaving five unharmed. Three of them come charging my way while the other two are trying to chip away at the ice around the original. I freeze the ground further, catching their feet and legs in the ice and stopping their attempt at an assault. They all struggle to break free but it's no use. I froze their body parts solid. If they break out their legs will snap off.

I run past the three and charge the remaining two clones and the original criminal who is still trapped. I decide to use my flames. I shoot a stream of fire at them, incinerating them almost instantly. However the ice around the man melted and he's now coated in water.

"Ha! You dumb fuck! Why would you use fire right now!?" he shouts as he starts to run.

I smirk and use my right side. I trail of ice blasts down the street from my foot and the second it reaches his drenched body he freezes. I walk to where he's at and take my time about it. Once I reach him I melt the ice around his head and shoulders. "Who's the dumb fuck now?" I ask as I scowl at him.

He gives up at that point and the police quickly came and got him. I'm kind of surprised at how much activity has been going on in this weather, especially with me in the area. That was the eighth incident I dealt with so far today and it's only two o'clock.

"I wonder why they think they can get away from an ice user in the snow..?" I say as I look up at the cloudy grey sky just as snow is starting to trickle down. "Every single one of them ran and didn't get far at all."

Suddenly just ahead of me I see a large man, or beast, charging down the street and plowing through the traffic. "Get back here you fuck!" I hear Bakugou shout right before I see him blasting his way through the air with his quirk.

"Well today just got more interesting..."

I use my quirk to make a platform beneath me, lifting me into the air and propelling me forward. I launch off and create a slab of ice along the rooftops. I run across it and quickly catch up with Bakugou who glares my way when he notices me.

"What the fuck are you doing over here Half n Half!?" he shouts. "This is my area today!"

"No it isn't! This is Shinagawa! You were in Shibuya area! How long have you been chasing this guy!?" I shout back.

Bakugou turns his earpiece on and I do the same. "He's been running from me for about twenty minutes now! I can't exactly use my quirk to take him down right now though! I've been trying to lead him to a more open area but he wound up coming this way!"

"Why didn't you call for backup!?"

"I did! But everyone else is too far and can't get here in all this shitty snow or they're all preoccupied with their own shitty criminal!" he replies angrily.

"Good thing I'm here then!"

I pick up my speed and use my quirk to slide myself forward, getting ahead of Bakugou. I look down and see the guy that he's been chasing. Now that I'm closer I can tell that this guy's mutant type quirk gives him the appearance of a rhinoceros and he definitely has a form of extreme strength. He's running down the street, smashing his head and horns into cars to clear his path. I don't think he's noticed me yet.

I divert my ice over the street and jump off, flipping upside down as I cross over top of the criminal. I use my ice to create a large wall in front of him nearly four meters thick and eight meters high. I land on top of the wall I created and slide to a stop. I look down as I feel a large rumble and see a huge crack appear.

Bakugou comes flying over and lands beside me. We both look down and see the rhinoceros guy's head fully stuck in my ice. "Nice goin' Freezer Burn," Bakugou says with a laugh.

"Yeah. Don't mention it," I reply. "Do you know what his quirk is?"

"Yeah, that bastard can hypnotize people. He was set up in a back alley doing some illegal deals and fucking over other criminals," he tells me. "And his mutation makes him more durable and strong."

"Hmm... I should stay until the police come then. I don't want to risk having him break out."

"Yeah sure. I'm heading back to Shibuya then if you've got this. Eijirou might need help rounding up those other low lifes that this shithead was dealing with," he says as he glares down at the captured criminal. "Thanks again..." He uses his quirk to blast away.

Once the police got there and took the rhino guy away the rest of the day was a little more easy going. I took down a few low end thugs, nothing I couldn't handle within a few minutes. On my phone on my way back to the office I saw all the articles of my heroics for the day. I racked up a total of thirteen incidents and twenty criminals.

"Nice. I bet if Momo was with me we could have handled almost all of them alot faster," I say as I walk down the street. "I hope she's doing okay... I've been thinking of her almost all day... I miss her on patrol with me.."

I finally make it back to the agency without running into or hearing about any other trouble. The sky is getting dark and the snow is coming down in thicker flakes. As soon as I'm opening the door to walk inside Bakugou shoves his way past me and goes in first. I roll my eyes and follow him in.

"How was the rest of your day Bakugou?" I ask as we wait for the elevator.

He scoffs and removes one of his blasting gauntlets. "It's fine. Be a helluva lot worse if I didn't have a winter costume," he scoffs.

I check the time on my phone. This elevator it taking forever... "Come on..." I mumble.

"So why wasn't Top Heavy with you today?" Bakugou asks.

"She hasn't been feeling well, so she's been taking care of the office work."

"Not feeling well? She seemed fine to me earlier today when I saw her."

The elevator finally comes and we step inside. I press the twelfth floor button and Bakugou presses the fourteen. "Is she finally getting better then? She's been acting too strange and distant from me since she got sick so I have no idea how she's feeling."

"Distant? Maybe she's tired of your ass."

I scowl at him and cross my arms as I lean back against the wall. "She's not tired with me. She's sick."

"I dunno. From what I understand she's been acting sick to keep her distance from you."

I glance over to Bakugou who is smirking my way with his arms crossed. I sigh and decide to fully engage him in this ridiculous conversation. "What do you mean by that?" I ask.

He rolls his eyes before hitting the stop button on the elevator. It stops in between floors nine and ten, and he turns to face me. "I was looking for Eijirou earlier before I went out 'cause his dumbass ran off somewhere, and I wound up on your floor. I was lookin' through the offices trying to find him and when I was close to your guys' I overheard her talking with Pink Cheeks."

"What were they talking about?" I ask, now getting a little uneasy.

"I heard your girlfriend telling her that she's been pretending to be sick in order to avoid you because she doesn't know how to tell you something that you might not want to hear right now." He pauses briefly and I wait, seeing that he's got more to say. "And whatever it was they were talking about, they weren't fucking clear at all, she said that it's something that's going to cause you two to be split apart."

"What? Split up?" The elevator gets cold as I activate my quirk out of anger. "You'd better not be fucking with me right now Bakugou!" I growl at him.

"Hey don't get mad at me," he calmly says with a scoff. "Your girlfriend's the one who's tired of your ass. If she wants to dump you you'd better figure out why."

"That's not what they were talking about! You must have misheard something!"

He scoffs again and presses the button, resuming our ascension. "I didn't mishear shit. What the fuck else could they have been talking about? Splitting you apart sound like dumping your ass to me."

I hold my head as I start to get a headache. "Momo wouldn't suddenly be through with me. We've been happy together for these last five years..."

The elevator stops on my floor and opens up. "Either figure out how to fix shit between you two or wait for her to do her thing," Bakugou says.

I step out of the elevator feeling depressed and like utter shit. Why would Momo want to end things? I don't think I've done anything wrong... I've treated her like a queen the entire time we've been together. Is she just bored with me now..?

I walk into the office and see Momo laying on the couch fast asleep. I walk over and crouch down beside her, resting my arms across the armrest and my head on my arms as I look at her peaceful, beautiful, sleeping face. She's wearing her hair down, which I love and she's also wearing one of my blue and white sweaters that was in the closet.

Bakugou couldn't have been right... Could he? But, why else would she be avoiding me or say that stuff to Uraraka? She hasn't really talked to me much over these last few days, but when she did something was definitely different... Is she going to end things..?

I stand up and let her be as my eyes start to water. "I.. I can't be here right now..." I mutter as I wipe my eyes. I take my hero jacket off and toss it on the floor of the closet then grab my black peacoat and grey scarf. "I need a fucking drink..."
