I want you to know if you read this that I would do anything to keep you safe. Last night I found you on the bathroom floor sobbing. I saw a letter crumpled in your fist. My heart broke at the sight. I took the letter and read it. Your father said your mother was dead and that it was all your fault and he would kill you if he ever saw your face. But I won't let your father near you. If he fired the killing curse at you I would jump in front of it. If he shot the cruciates curse at you I would jump in front of it and let myself be tortured for you. If someone went to stab you I would take the stab. I will always protect you Remus.
