Silence
The earth lies heavy where your silence fell,
A hollow ache now echoes through the day,
We speak your name like some forbidden spell,
And feel it fading as it slips away.
The wind remembers how your laughter rang,
It weaves your ghost through branches, soft and low,
Each note a fragment of a song you sang,
Now scattered where the quiet rivers flow.
We call, but only shadows dare reply,
Through drifting dusk your absence settles deep,
A borrowed breath beneath an empty sky,
Where love endures, but learns at last to weep.
