Chapter 1

"Is it forming?" Mila questioned looking at Alexis's telescope through the open window. It was a long time since Mila has seen the relms a line, it is as if you could reach for them.

"Not yet," Alexis answered "soon," she was reading an old, crumpled book on her golden silk bed spread. It made a loud noise as she flipped the pages.

Mila looked at the clock walking away from the telescope, "I have to go now, my mother will get mad at me if I don't hunt for dinner." Her sword laid sideways on the golden wall of the Asgaurdian room. It eliminated the room with its blue glow. As Mila picked it up its solid metal substance melted and formed into a shape of a bow, and hardened into wood with a flimsy yet sturdy string. Its powerful blue glow stayed within the weapon. As Mila opened the door, the dim light of the golden room started to show, and when she left the echo of the slam filled the room and the Asgaurdian halls. The room was almost dark if it weren't for a small torch that barely kept its flame.

It was getting late and Alexis could feel the sleep over power her expectations. She was still looking at the book almost half asleep, not keeping track of what she was reading.

The nine relms come together every five hundred years..... As they do..... Creatures in another relm my by pass without any warning, and there said is.....

The 650 year old girl caught herself falling asleep. She looked around the square room. It was a mess. Paper was everywhere, and so was her telescope still out. Lazily getting up from her comfortable bed, Alexis grabbed the telescopes legs and tried bending them. They wouldn't budge. Frustrated, she kicked the third leg nearest to her foot, finally it made a clanking noise, and started to fold. Alexis looked out the window as she put away the now folded telescope. The three moons shown there silver dances upon the sea. The stars twinkled over the black sky that covered Asgaurd. Across from the sea was the golden tower itself. Its golden shine was shown by the night sun. The city of gold was breath taken. All but one tower was a shining gold. A darker tower appeared at the end of the city. The holder of the tower was a new apprentice from the training arena. Isabela, or Isabel. She was different from the other Asgaurdian Apprentices. She didn't have the same moves, and seemed to act different from everybody.

Alexis continued cleaning the papers on the cold floor. As she finished putting them away, it happened. The relms! It was clear to see that she could almost touch them. She could see it with such clarity. For a minute Alexis wasn't sleepy, but it started to come back. It felt like being dragged by weights as she climbed in to bed.

She lay awkwardly on her bed. As she put her head down on the smooth gold bed, her long dirty blonde hair lay in slender, stands, like an octopus flat on the ocean floor. Her eyes were glued shut, as her breathing set quietly.
