The dark side of the moon? So, we all know that the moon doesn't shine itself and provide its own light. The sun does that. So, if one side of the moon is lit up, then the other is dark. But technically, since it's not it's own light giving it this effect, then there really is no dark or light side to the moon. It's the same shade all the way around. To us, here on Earth, yeah we see the moon's phases and whatnot and there appears to be a light and dark side. But really, if the sun weren't here(which is a whole other topic that I'm not going to even think about now) then the moon would seem the same shade all the way around. Dang it, now I'm thinking of spheres again...
But anyways, there can't be a light and dark side of the moon when, in reality, it's really the same lighting all the way around. Case closed...
Wait! Unless you want to count the fact that there are millions of stars out there surrounding the moon that provide their own light and therefore their could be one side lighter that the other by a slight bit. Woah...
