"Shh Violet, darling you must be quiet." Whispered her mother gently. "But why momma?" Whispered back violet trying to stay still but twitching anyway, as her mother put a large satchel over her shoulder. "Well darling, no one may know you are my daughter..." "Why?" Interrupted violet. "Because my darling, you must stay hidden until the time is right." "When will that be momma?" "You'll know my darling, you will know when." Said her mother gently. "If they ask questions just answer with I don't know. Okay?" "Okay momma." Said violet fighting back tears, somehow knowing she had to stay quiet until her mother was gone.
"Goodbye my dear, I love you." Whispered her mother quietly giving her daughter a hug. "Goodbye momma I love you." Said violet starting to sniffle. Then violet's mother left. and the four year old knew she was aloud to cry  for as long as she wanted, because she was all alone in the world.
———-Nine years later———-
"Hey Vi! Stop dilly dallying!" Yelled a boy, (who she suddenly recognized as Eric) from down the hall. "We are gonna be late for your own party!" He Said running over to where she was sitting in her room. "You okay?" He Asked his voice suddenly softening when he noticed she was holding the teddy mouse her mother gave her. "Ya I'm fine, I just miss her." Said violet quietly she was always quiet around Eric but she was yet to discover why. He nodded. "I get it Vi. But you are my family and I am yours!" He said smiling "We only need each other." "Only each other." She repeated taking the hand he offered her and smoothing her dress, which was all pink frills. "And gee you look like a cupcake." He Said laughing until she elbowed him in the ribs. "Ow!" "That's what you get for calling my dress a cupcake." She said strutting away. He ran to catch up with her. "Hey! I meant it as a compliment! Pink suits you." He said the last part a little quieter more gentle somehow when he did things like that it made him feel even more like a brother to her. "Hey I think you are getting some color in your eyes!" He added "really!" She asked running to the closest mirror. "Boo!" Yelled Mira jumping out of the mirror. "AH!" Screamed Violet stumbling back into Eric. "Mirabell Elisa maxwell! You scared the heck outa me!" Yelled Violet who was still trying to get used to Mira being a Reflector, but it would take anyone months to get used to her friend getting that powerful of a spark.
"Aw sorry did I scare you?" Teased Mira helping them up. "Yes you did." Huffed Violet the second Eric said "No way!" They both glared at each other causing another fit of laughter from Mira. When she finally calmed herself down about 5 minutes later she jumped realizing something. "We're late!" She yelled grabbing their hands and running down the hall. "Oh darn! We are never gonna make it!" Said violet tripping over her own feet several times. "We are gonna make it!" Said Mira turning the corner so fast that they fell over in the hall, right outside the door to Violet's party. "We made it!" Said Mira pushing open the doors "We actually did." Said Violet letting out a relaxed breath only to suck it back in when she noticed all the people staring at her. Suddenly they all yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" So loud it was hard for her to think. "happy birthday Violet!" Said Seraphina running over and giving violet a tackle hug. "Thanks Sera." Said Violet laughing at the extremely sweet pep her friend had. "Happy birthday." Said Fabian said quietly, walking over to join their group. "Thanks Fab." She Said chuckling when he groaned at the nickname. "Yo hey! When did your eyes turn purple?" Asked Sera "What?" Asked Violet obviously thinking it was a joke. She walked over to a mirror and looked at herself. Black hair, pink dress, violet eyes! Since when did she have violet eyes! "I gotta see a doctor!" She said to herself. " Hey cute eyes! I wish mine had turned violet when I sparked." Whined Petra as her and peter walked over. "Cute?! But know one I have ever seen has ever gotten purple eyes! Is there something wrong with me?" She whispered those six words feeling so big. "No! I just bet you got the best ability ever!" Said peter enthusiastically. "Ya let's not worry about it till after your party." Added Petra. "Okay, I guess." "Hey! Vi! There you are! We had no idea where you ran off too!" Said Eric jogging over. "Oh ya. Hey!" She said "Sorry I was just taking to peter and Petra." "Oh cool. Hey my man!" Said Eric fist pumping Peter "hey dude!" Said peter, as Eric gave her a quick look that definitely said "I know something is wrong. we will talk later." She nodded. And he gave her an extremely sweet smile in return. She beamed. "Hey is something wrong?" Sera Whispered in Her ear. Finally joining the group. "No it's fine." "You sure I know anxiety has effected you in the past. So if you are worried about your eyes, they are absolutely beautiful." Said Sera the soft look in her eyes made Violet know she wasn't lying. "Thanks Sera that means a lot." "No problem Vi I always tell you the truth." Said Sera giving Violet a gentle squeeze before walking off to talk to the person giving out cake obviously trying to use her looks to get cake sooner. But Violet had to admit Sera was the most beautiful thirteen year old she had ever seen. With her dark navy blue eyes, And soft Wavy brown hair, she made every boys jaw drop. "May I speak with you?" Said Fabian quietly she shuddered not realizing he had been there the whole time. "Ya, you okay Fab? you seem a little tense." Said Violet quietly as he led her to a corner of the large oval shaped room. "Um I have something to tell you and it may freak you out." He Said fidgeting with the bottom button on his shirt. "It's okay I'm not spooked easily." She said taking his hands for support. "Today one of the guardians men cornered me. They are looking for you Vi! They know you are here! I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about this we gotta get out!" He blurted out. "Wait! Slow down. Are you hurt!" She Asked searching him for bruises, tears rising in her eyes. "I'm fine. But I'm worried about you." He Said quietly. She could feel a tear slip down her cheek she didn't care she pulled him into a hug saying "it's okay don't worry we don't have to run let's just figure everything out okay?" She said he nodded against her shoulder. "You sure you are okay?" She whispered pulling back. "Ya. He said hiding his leaf color eyes under his brown hair. "Okay Did you tell Eric?" "No." "You should consult him. He knows a lot about this kinda stuff." She said smiling "I will." He said smiling back a real smile something she didn't see from him very often. He jogged of to find Eric. She sank to the seat under her the moment he was gone. "Hey you good?" Asked Mira walking over to Violet from whoever she had been talking to. "Ya. I'm all good." Said Violet taking a deep breath. "You ready to party?" asked Mira excitedly. "Oh yes I am!" Said Violet matching her smile as they ran of to go get someone to play music. Violet wouldn't let anything ruin her birthday she was gonna party! After all the was a teenager now. She was ready to be a little crazy.
