Chapter 3
Recap:
He chuckled, "You're fine. My hair isn't naturally spiky like Bakugou's-"
"Can we get a move on already?!" Bakugo growled, walking forward with much irritation.
"Sorry, I'll catch you later, (Y/n)."
He jogged off to catch up with his angry blonde friend. You sighed, wishing you'd gotten the chance to apologize to Bakugou about last night.
Present:
Class would be starting soon and you'd just gotten to the door and opened it gently before slipping into the room. You spotted Bakugou and decided now was the time to apologize even though he frightened you.
You meekly shuffled up to him and he seemed irritated to see you. You bowed ninety degrees and in your nervousness you almost shouted, "I'm really sorry for hitting you, Bakugou!"
He looked at you a little puzzled. I'm fact, most of the class was now staring. When Bakugou didn't answer, you felt the heat rise to your face even more and your eyes almost watered, "Please forgive me!"
He seemed really confused by your apology and then slightly angry, "Okay, yeah, whatever! But this doesn't make things even between us!"
You stayed bowing for a few more seconds before nodding and quickly shuffling away to your desk that was behind him. There was another blonde behind you, his hair a warmer, yellower tone. He tapped your shoulder and you flinched, turning around.
"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you!" He chuckled, "I just wanted to make sure you're okay." He flashed you a smile and you blushed, mumbling how you were fine.
"I'm glad, I'm Kaminari by the way. My quirk is electricity, but if I use it to much I short circuit and turn into kind of an idiot for awhile."
You offer him a small smile, "t-that's cool."
His face flushed a little, "you really think so?"
You nodded, flinching when the door opened. It was Aizawa sensei, "Good morning. It would seem you guys have lucked out. We're doing extra hero training today."
The classroom erupted into cheers and you couldn't help but feel a little bit excited. You haven't really done much combat training like ever.
"Everyone get your gym uniforms on, to make things fair, no costumes." A few people groaned at that but an air of giddiness still rested upon the group.
Suddenly you began to panic. You didn't have a gym uniform. You didn't want to ask about one and look stupid but you'd look even stupider if you didn't have one. You didn't want to draw attention to yourself so you shakily raised your hand, "M-Mr. Aizawa?"
He nodded, signaling for u to go on, "I-I don't have a gym uniform."
"Oh that's right. You'll need to go to student services."
You panicked, where was student services? Would it be obvious? Would you look stupid for asking. Maybe you could find it on your own, but you'd look ridiculous if you got too lost.
Aizawa seemed to read your expression and added, "Bakugou will take you."
Said blonde suddenly sat up at the mention of his name, "Like hell I would!"
"Bakugou." Aizawa threatened. His eyes glowing a deathly teacher stare.
"Yeah, fine whatever." Bakugou muttered.
The red head next to him chuckled, and Bakugou was pissed, "What the hell is so fucking funny? Go on! I'll wait."
Aizawa cut in before any tension could escalate, "I suggest you all should go get your uniforms on."
The class filtered out and you felt guilty for burdening Bakugou even more. You went to him to apologize, "I-I'm sorry you have to-"
"Hurry the hell up!" He snarled, brushing past you.
"S-Sorry!" You followed him quickly until you were about a foot behind him and then you returned to normal pace.
There was silence as the two of you walked down the hallway for a few moments and it was incredibly awkward. That was, until Bakugo spoke, "Are you going to fucking say something?!"
You yelped, flinching, "I-I'm sorry!!"
"Why the hell are you always acting like fucking Deku before he got his shitty quirk?!"
"D-Deku?" You paused, "Y-You mean Midoriya?"
"No shit, Sherlock. Who the hell else would I be talking about?!"
You hesitated before asking, "Y-You don't like him?"
"Of course I don't like him!"
You felt your heart sink a little, "So you don't like me?"
He seemed angry by your inquiry but he also looked just a little guilty, "Where the hell did you get that?!"
You looked down at your feet, "I-I don't know."
In looking down at your feet, you hadn't realized that Bakugou had stopped and turned around until you'd ran straight into his hard chest. You panicked, knowing he'd be mad. As you stepped back, apologizing profusely, you tripped over yourself and began to fall backwards. You yelped, suddenly feeling a harsh tug on your arm before you re-collided with Bakugou's chest. Bakugou kept you from falling.
"Would you stop being a stupid fucking clutz for two damn seconds?!"
You regained your balance, "I'm so sorry, I know I cause you a lot of trouble." You could feel the heat rising to your face. You've caused nothing but trouble for Bakugou. Your eyes watered a little in embarrassment.
"Quit apologizing, damnit! They should have your uniform in there."
You nodded about to go in but paused, offering him a small smile to show your gratitude, "Thank you, Bakugo."
He looked away, "Yeah, don't mention it."
You walked into the office, still smiling to yourself. You understood Bakugou a little better now. He wasn't necessarily angry at just you. But you were still a little frightened of him. Still, he seemed to be a little bit nicer than he led on. Why else would he catch you.
~Time-Skip~
You had just gotten your gym uniform and had changed into it. Now it was time to go to hero training. You were incredibly excited to see what you'd be doing.
