Rebecca pov

Well momma woke up but daddy hasn't yet! Poo! I giggled at myself for thinking that.

I knew he was sleeping peacefully and he was alright because I could feel him. Not like momma but I could still feel him.

I also had another theory on why Daddy was sleeping and I already talked to momma about it and she agreed with me on it.

His body is healing now that he has all his spirits back inside now and the cabin is the safe zone from that thing so daddy can safely heal and that thing doesn't even know daddy has all his pieces back yet.

We were actually sitting outside tonight next to a fire before we turned in for the night inside the truck.

"So why haven't I seen any of the wolves you said to yourself one day?" Teddy asked me.

"They stay hidden unless I need them. That's why Koda stays close to me he has wolf in him too." I explained to Teddy.

"So Koda is patroling right now?" He asked me. "Yes! That's his job even though he isn't a year old yet!" I told him.

"What are you drinking in that little thermos of yours?" He asked me. "Coffee!" I told him him laughing as I took a drink.

"No way and it don't keep you up give me some of that will you I haven't had any in so long!" I reached out my arm and he got up and walked over to me and he took a drink of it.

"Oh my God this is so good and it tastes like what you're dad left for your mom!" I fell sideways laughing so hard at him.

"That's because my daddy taught me how to make his way!" I told him and he started laughing. I shot my arm out and pointed to him.

"So he does know how to laugh and he isn't as stuck up as I thought he was. HAA!" I said.

"Haa, haa! So you figured me out Becca big deal!" He gave me back my thermos and went and sat back down across from me.

"How old are you anyways?" I asked him. "9!" He told me. "How old were you when you first came out here and your parents were killed?" I asked him and he turned his head away from me.

"4!" He told me and I started counting on my fingers. "You been out here for five years on your own and you also had my daddy's spirit inside of you too?" I asked him.

"Yeah! But I didn't find his spirit until a year later and he helped me so I decided to protect him from that thing and he agreed until the time was right." Teddy explained to me.

"I learned very quickly how to block his mind out! Boy let me tell you he was stupid and I'm so glad he isn't like that anymore!" I busted out laughing at him.

"You should of met his 18 year spirit even worse and I was stuck with his butt and it was his fault too! I can show you if you want!" He nodded his head and I showed him and he fell over sideways laughing so hard because I showed him the whole time even that flying monster.

"Okay don't tick you off that's for sure!" He told me. "Nope!" I told him.

"Don't touch me either without permission!" I told him. He shook his head really fast no.

"I got to admit it's nice not to hear your thoughts and with daddy down well he couldn't help me!" I explained to him.

"He helps shield your mind?" I just nodded my head. "Once he could do it again yes! I saw things a young mind should not see! What bad man do to little girls and it was the same one that kidnapped my momma when she was just a little younger than me. Here I will show you what happened to me because I didn't show you." I showed him when that guy kicked me and then what happened when that guy almost got ahold of me and what I saw he was going to do to me when he got his hands on me.

I finally got up and went for a walk because I didn't want him to see me cry.

Koda ran up next to me and nudged me. "I know Koda! It's just hard to remember for me." I told him. "Hey Becca it's alright to cry once in awhile. I do!" I stopped when I heard Teddy tell me that and he followed me.

That right there irritated me. "Why did you follow me?" I asked him.

"I didn't want you to be out here alone Becca you don't know it out here like I do! I know you're capable of taking care of yourself but please not with this group of people out here after me and what's out here!" He told me.

I whipped around when he told me that. "Did you just say you know I can take care of myself?" I asked him to be sure.

"Yeah, why is that so hard for you to believe?" He asked me. I squeezed my eyes shut.

"1. You're a boy! 2. I really don't know you! 3. You don't really know me." I just walked back to the truck and we just got in for the night.

But that night I had a nightmare and I screamed. "BECCA WAKE UP!" I sat straight up and looked around and Teddy was looking over the back seat at me.

"DARN IT!" I snapped out. I scrubbed my face. "There back!" I said out loud frustrated.

I groaned. "This is just great and all I need right now!" I told myself. Teddy went to say something and I covered his mouth up to stop him.

"Not a friggin word out of your mouth right now!" I snapped out and I got out of the truck and slammed the truck door behind me and slammed my back against it.

He rolled down the window. "Don't even think about and leave me be right now or you will get hurt I'm warning you right now. Just go back to sleep and I'm not leaving!" I told him.

I restarted the fire and sat down beside it. That's when half the wolf pack decided to come in and lay down and make sure we were safe.

I knew it didn't take long for Teddy to fall back asleep either.

I stopped poking at the fire when I heard something in the distance and so did the wolves. Koda was in the truck with Teddy.

This wasn't a person either. Or that thing either. I hurried and put out the fire and silently got back into the truck and strapped myself and started up the truck.

I already filled it up with gas earlier. I turned on the lights and slowly started driving.

Teddy sleeps like a log. That's for sure. "WHAT THE BLEEP IS THAT!" I yelled out. That's when I speeded my baby up and took off.

"YOU STUPID THING YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO CHASE ME!" I hurried and flipped off my truck lights the heck with that!

I kept whipping around tree's and I busted out laughing when I heard thump in the floor in the back.

"WHAT THE HECK!" Teddy yelled out. "WHY ARE YOU DRIVING WITH NO LIGHTS BECCA?" He yelled at me.

"BECAUSE DUMB DUMB WERE BEING CHASED BY A CREATURE OF SOME KIND AND IT'S ATTRACTED TO LIGHTS STUPID!" I snapped out and I reached behind me and Thump him in the back of the head.

"Ow! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" He asked me. "CAUSE YOU MADE ME MAD AND YOUR STUPID DUMB DUMB! DON'T YOU LEARN ANYTHING ABOUT THESE CREATURES AS LONG AS YOU BEEN OUT HERE?" I snapped out at him.

"NO! I HID BECAUSE I HAD OR STILL HAVE NO WAY TO DEFEND MYSELF WITHOUT EXPOSING MYSELF ARE CRAZY BECCA?" He snapped me.

"DO YOU THINK I'M CRAZY FOR EXPOSING MYSELF LIKE I DID STUPID WHEN I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE?" I was furious.

"AS A MATTER OF FACT I DO! YOU COULD OF GONE ABOUT IT A DIFFERENT WAY REBECCA!"  Oh he did not go there.

I shoved his butt back. I was beyond furious now! If I said something right now to him I was going to blow that was a fact and I didn't have the time to deal with him.

I was finally able to lose that creature and finally pulled over and got out and went to the back of my truck and climbed in so I could document this creature and write down what I learned about him.

"DON'T EVEN THINK OF TALKING TO ME RIGHT NOW!" I told Teddy when I seen him from the corner of my eye standing at the back of my truck and he turned around and walked somewhere.

Right now I didn't really care. I got down and made breakfast and coffee.

I left him some coffee and a plate of food and just cleaned up everything as the sun was rising and I slammed the tail gate shut.

I even changed my clothes. I was done sleeping in the truck with his butt.

I waited for him in my truck and he got in and I took off again.

"I'm sleeping in my tent for now on and you are sleeping in the truck!" I told him.

"Okay!" He told me. It stayed quiet too now which was so peaceful finally to me.

I finally stopped and set up camp and made dinner and he sat on his side of the camp fire and I sat on mine and we never said a word to each other.

I got up and got into the truck and locked all the doors so I could talk to momma alone.

"Momma!" I called out on the cb. "Yeah, Monkey!" She said. "I don't like him!" I told her. I look at him and he had his arms crossed staring into the fire and I looked back out the front window.

"Why?" She asked me. "He called me crazy!" I heard my momma bust out laughing and so did I.

"We're both crazy Monkey!" She told me. "Yeah, I know momma but it was the way he said it. He keeps getting thumped!" I told her and that made her laugh even harder.

"Oh that sounds so familiar!" She told me. "Really momma!" I told her. "Uh huh! Reminds me of your daddy when I met him!" My eyes widened.

"Oh crap momma. He's just a little worse than daddy let me tell you!" I fell sideways laughing laughing so hard now then I stopped.

"There back again momma!" I told her. "Your nightmares monkey?" She asked me. "Uh huh momma!" I told her.

"You'll figure something out you always do babygirl!" She told me. Tears started falling from my eyes.

"I know daddy not awake yet!" I told her. "I wish he was though I miss him!" She told me. "So do I Momma!" We finally got off and I got out and got inside the tent and just went to bed.

I held my teddy bear against me. I heard the truck door as I laid there in my tent.

I heard the wolves come in about an hour later because I was still laying there still awake.

I finally fell asleep hopefully I didn't have a nightmare tonight.
