Chapter 13

Thankfully I made it outside without any more interruptions .I inhale the smell of the forest and grass .immediately I can feel myself starting to relax just being out in the open .

Even though my skin is just as pale as my fathers I love to be outdoors ,though it was a shame that I never tamed ,my skin colour always stayed the same no matter what. My father has the luxury to tan his skin any tone he wants but stays indoors all day .

I start making my way towards the forbidden Forest .I don't know why o feel the need to go towards it ,like something is calling to me I walked on a faint trial that lead into the forbidden forest .I snorted ,if there was a trial it seems no one listens to the warnings .

After several minutes of walking I came upon a herd of black skeleton horses.Thresals. There was about at least 30in the herd and about half of them were cults. It was actually quite cute to watch them run and tumble around.

I sat down and watched them .They for the most part stayed away from me and I must of gotten distracted because the next thing I knew there was a baby Thresals right in front of me nudging me with its head.

I looked past it and saw the others from the herd had all stopped what they were doing and was watching us .I got a mother nudge and silently laughed when it licked my face .I raised my hand and rubbed it head .I continued to run him and saw the others from the herd continue doing what they were before .The rest of the young cults proberly got curious because the they were suddenly all around me and laying down several on my legs and on head on my chest from when I fell down when one of them nudged me to hard.

I must have dozed off because the sound of hoofs stomping woke me up .I looked up at the sky and saw it was late afternoon. A wet tounge brought my gaze to the fully grown Thresals that was in front of me .It was looking at me expectantly. It nudged its head in the direction the others were .I guess it wants me to follow.

I got and dusted my self off.I was about to start walking in the same direction when the Thresals that woke me kneeled down exposing its back to me ......you've got to be kidding was all I can think of.Thresals never let anyone ride them . .....well there a first for everything.

I gently got up on the thresal  and almost screened when it suddenly got up and started to run with the rest of the herd.

It was accelerating.

The wind willing my hair back and forth. The feeling was like no other and I couldn't contain the laugh that forced its out.I don't know for how long we ran but it must of been a few hours for the sun was starting to set. I knew I had to get back to the castle but I was having so much fun . Its been awhile since I could just relax and laugh without a care in the world.

The Thresals stopped by a river where they drank and the cults playing in the river plashing each other and some of the older horses by accident. I laughed when one of the older ones splashed right back and a young cult fell over into the due to the force of the splash.

I walked along the edge of the river just enjoying the moment when I herd a screech ,it sounded somewhat familiar. I walked further along the river tying to see where the source of the sound is and came to a clearing of rocks at the mouth of the river.There it was .

Mermaids.

How could I have been so stupid of course that's why the egg screeched .Mermaids can't talk above water.Its something to with the lake ...the river leads to the lake after all they proberly swam here.

I need to take the egg underwater and listen to it .Its proberly a riddle or something.

I'm glad I actually waited instead of going deaf by that screeching .

I looked down the steam and saw the Thresals were gone ,so much for a good bye .

I stared to make my way out of the forest .I had an egg that need opening.
