Chapter 9

As I entered the tent I didn't even have time to blame around before  hand grabbed me and steered me towards a empty corner of the tent .

"How are you feeling " my father asked .

"Like shit ." I blurted out before I could stop myself. I cringed as I looked into his eyes he hated when I swore, which was quit often.

"Language ."

" I know I know ,sorry ."

"They're going to call you soon don't die Anastasia." My father said.

He was horrible at showing emotions but his word word were like saying 'be careful ' to me .

" Don't worry old man , your not getting rid of me anytime soon." I said with a light laugh which instantly died down when I saw Riddle enter the tent .

" I'm not old " I heard my father say.

I gave him a look telling him I didn't believe him.

"Father how close are you with Riddle?."

He silently stared at me for a moment ,properly  wondering why I asked such a question since I don't normally take interest in people.

"He is a great teacher and friend . We have known each other for many years. May I know why you inquired about him ."

"Nothing to worry about old man ,we just ran into each other outside the tent . Literally ran into each other , does he work out because their is no way he can have a chest like his if he doesn't work work ." I said as I observed him talking to someone who I didn't recognize .

I then remembered that I was talking to my father and flushed red .I looked at him and saw he had raised a eyebrow at me and clearly amused.

'I can't believe I just said that to him . He is never going to let this go ' I thought.

To make matters worse Riddle glanced up and our eyes immediately locked . I don't know how long we stared at at other but if felt like years . My fathers chuckles made me tear my eyes. Away from and look at my father ,or at least tried to but I couldn't stop myself from blushing more .'oh merlin I must look like a tomato ' I thought.

"You know what why don't you forget I ever said anything . Why don't we forget this whole conversation ." I said avoiding his eyes and not looking anywhere close to what Riddle was standing.

"You know ......Tom has been staring at you an constantly asks questions about you . Just so you know Anastasia i am a father and its my duty to protect you so just be careful and use protection ."

It took me a few seconds for he had said to register in my brain .' use protection  ......what the hell.'

"Father !!! You did not just say that that is disgusting I hardly know the man ,yet alone talked to him . Why would you say that !. I never even had my first is what about having ....having .....you know what I mean."
I said very embarrassed . I could feel my cheeks heating up . I couldn't believe he said that my own father.

My eyes widen as I thought hit me .

"Please tell me your not going to give me the talk .I'm begging you don't do it would be so embarrassing."

"What no of course not " he said and a tint of pink on his cheeks .

Before I could reply a horn went off and the Minister called all champions towards him . I gave my father one last hug and a peck on the cheek before walking towards the Minister .

He held out a bag and we each had to pullout a dragon with a number around its neck. Fluer went first , then Victor , Ben  and me .

I was last . That gave me more time to get nervous and drew up .

I went to go lie down on the furthest bed as Fleur stepped out of the tent . The other champions followed my example and sat on their beds . I must of fallen asleep because the next thing I know someone is shaking my shoulder telling me wake up.

My eyes snap open and I sit up to lean on my elbows. Only to realize my mistake a second to late .Their in front of me not even an inch away was a pair of beautiful blue eyes looking at me . I took me a few seconds to realise he had woken me up and was hovering over me .

"Please don't tell me that this will be a regular occurancw."  I said my voice slightly rough from sleep.

"Well I like these positions we end up in whenever we meet ."

I snort and shoved him away from me as I sat up.

"Is the a reason you woke me up?"

" We'll sleeping beauty ,it will be your turn in five minutes  I thought I'll wake you up from your eternal slumber .....know that I think of it I didn't do it properly so why don't you go lay down again so I can Kiss you ."
He said in a teasing tone .

Even though I knew he was teasing me I couldn't stop the blush blooming on my cheeks .It only git darker when he smirked smugly at me .

Before I could reply one of the dragon tamers came into the tent and told me to follow him.I did without a second thought ready to get away from Riddle.

Just before I left the tent completely I heard him say " good luck Anastasia. " and shivered , though I didn't know if it was how he said my name or if was the chilly breaze that suddenly hit me .

The tamer left me at a gate like door . I guess I had to go through.
Good luck Ana I thought stepping through the gate .

I was almost immediately made deaf by the sound of the crowd cheering.

I looked around the arena and immediately spotted the golden egg we were supposed to collect the only problem was the angry mother dragon standing protectively in front of the nest.

I carefully made my way towards the dragon and realized this was the one dragon that Mera said she couldn't get out to help me during the fight Jenna was her name. well it looks like I'm winging it.

I was several yards from the Jenna she started to shoot balls at fire at me  I immediately started to doge .I  cartwheeled out of the way did summersaults over the fireballs . The crowd went wild and started to cheer. They're idiots the noise is making the dragon angrier.

I was never more glad than now that I was flexible .I landed on feet further then I was from Jenna . I was so glad I left my cloak in the tent.

I suddenly got an idea . I stood straight closed my eyes and tried to control my breathing in ....out....in...out I chanted to myself.

My eyes snapped open the same time my palms light up covered in a green fire the same colour as my eyes.  I heard the crowd gasp and start to cheer. The cheering was getting on my nerves.

I slowly made my way towards Jenna the fire starting to cover my entire body .As Jenna started to shoot more fire at me ,instead of me diving out of the way I through some of my own green fire balls at her.

Clearly seeing that she wasn't gong to tired out anytime soon I moved my hands in a rune I remembered from a book and as I herd the crowd gasp I knew that I had done it .

I had formed a dragon out of my fire . I silently stared at Jenna before I commanded my dragon to attach Jenna .I made a dash towards the egg ,almost being hit my Jenna's tail .

I reached the nest and took out the egg careful not to break or disturb the other eggs .I let out a breath when I was several feet away from the nest and then that's when I felt it .  I felt my conjured dragon was weak . I was so distracted I didn't notice I was just about to run towards the exit when my dragon shattered .

I was running my fasted when I felt Jenna's tail collide with my stomach and I was thrown back towards the opposite wall of the arena. My head collided with wall and I gave a gasp of pain ,I think I broke several ribs . I tried getting up and pain shot up my side ,yes defiantly broken ribs .

I rolled out of the way just as a tail crashed into the spot I was seconds ago. I stood up ignoring the pain on my side and the blood dripping from my head .

I quickly lit up my palms and made up a Dom shield just in time as Jenna shot fire at me . I took several steps back when the fire collided with me .

I looked around trying to find the egg and saw it several feet from the exit .all I had to do was get to the exit .I stared to concentrate all my power into my palms ad shot a powerful fireball at her .I wasted no time in sprinting towards the exist . I diet stop as I picked up the egg and ran to the exit where someone was holding the door open for me .

The door closed just as a shot of fire was coming towards me . you could hear the angry roar of the dragon .

I was breathing heavy and the same tamer who lead my here was leading me back to the tent .

When I stepped into the room I was wrapped up in my fathers arms before I knew what was happening .

I started laughing in relief
"Don't worry old man I'm okay just a few broken ribs and maybe a concussion ."

Before he could reply the median witch healer pomfrey  had me on a bed with several potions shoved down my throat.

I tried to glare at her but I suddenly felt so tired  ,dreamless sleep potion I was ready to sleep just before I was pulled into darkness I saw a pair a concerned blue eyes peering at me from the door .
