Lorena opened the door, about to step out of the apartment. A figure in a sparkling evening gown and high heels immediately caught her eye.

"Hi!" Natsha waved at her gracefully. At least, that was what Natsha believed.

Lorena frowned. So deeply that even Natsha felt a little uneasy. Everyone liked this side of her personality except Lorena.

She cleared her throat.

"This is for you!" She held out a brown paper bag in front of her.

Lorena narrowed her eyes suspiciously, but still reached out and took it.

She opened it. Dozens of ice cream bars in all kinds of flavors lay neatly arranged inside small boxes.

Lorena would never show that she was actually very satisfied. She didn't want to see the smug look on the person in front of her. The reason she had wanted to leave the apartment was precisely to buy these. And somehow, by some magical means, Natsha had appeared at her door with them.

"Done yet?" Lorena asked.

"Done with what?" Natsha blinked in confusion.

Lorena didn't bother explaining and moved to shut the door. But Natsha wasn't someone who would leave empty-handed.

"Hey!" Natsha stopped it. "Let me in too."

Lorena rolled her eyes and released the door, then turned around, closing her eyes and randomly picking an ice cream bar.

She quickly tore off the wrapper. The scent of vanilla spread across her tongue, filling her with satisfaction.

Lorena examined the wrapper she had just peeled off. There wasn't a single label on it.

"You're feeding me some unbranded junk?" She suddenly felt like it was hard to swallow. But the taste was genuinely good. Nothing like low-quality goods.

"What?" Natsha immediately protested. That was so unfair! "It's custom-made! What ice cream brand out there can give you a vanilla flavor this intense?"

Lorena slowly savored the ice cream in her hand. The vanilla truly exploded in her mouth.

She sat down on the sofa, and the paused scene on the screen quickly resumed playing.

Lorena rested her arm on the back of the couch. Within a few short seconds, a body immediately flung itself onto her.

Natsha wrapped herself tightly around her, inhaling the faint scent of red wine lingering on Lorena's hoodie.

"So loud." Lorena said helplessly. Natsha was taking huge breaths as if she had been deprived of oxygen for days.

Natsha wrapped her arms around Lorena's waist. A strange, tight sensation gradually invading her.

"Uhm..." At that very moment, Natsha's face was a mixture of existential doubt and complete dazed confusion. "... did you gain weight?"

Lorena's eyes, which had been glued to the soccer plays on the screen, shifted instantly.

She looked at Natsha out of the corner of her eye.

One of Natsha's cheeks was shoved aside. Completely unprepared, she was immediately pushed away from Lorena.

Her neck suddenly felt a little sore.

"You damn bastard!" Lorena hissed through clenched teeth.

Natsha touched her hand, trying to pry it off. Lorena let go. Natsha's makeup hadn't smudged in the slightest. Thank goodness, it was high-quality makeup, after all.

Lorena went through several ice cream bars in a row. An alpha's appetite truly wasn't something to be underestimated.

Watching her eat made Natsha's teeth ache in sympathy.

"I'm going to the bathroom for a bit..." She said.

Lorena shot her a glance, still holding half an ice cream bar in her hand. Natsha pouted. She was being so well-behaved. She even reported wherever she went.

Natsha dashed into the restroom. After finishing up, she used her foot to flip open the trash can lid. Suddenly, dozens of paper boxes with all kinds of brand labels piled inside the bin caught her eye.

She picked up one of the wrappers and carefully read the words printed on it. Natsha's eyes widened.

The bathroom door slammed open with a loud bang. The sturdy metal handle looked like it was about to snap off.

Natsha stood in front of Lorena, a large trash bag in her hand.
