Chapter 8
Emily's due date finally arrived. Emily's father and both of the Taechamongkalapiwats had long been waiting outside the delivery room.
Emily's screams echoed endlessly through the corridor. Natsha appeared rather calm, lacking the overwhelming anxiety one would expect from a parent about to meet their first child.
Mr. Taechamongkalapiwat stared at her intently, suspicion rising in his eyes.
"Aren't you worried?" He asked in a low voice, narrowing his gaze.
Natsha straightened her back and cleared her throat.
"I am, Father."
The newborn's fragile cry finally rang out. Smiles bloomed across everyone's faces. Emily's father could at last let out a breath of relief. Sweat had already soaked his forehead.
Natsha looked at the man before her. Being a father or a mother had never been an easy role. When he learned the truth... what would he do?
Emily and the baby were soon moved to a recovery room. Everyone gathered around the tiny beta baby girl and Emily.
Taking advantage of the moment, Natsha slipped out and bought herself a chocolate bar from a vending machine.
A figure dressed entirely in black, covered from head to toe, brushed past her. Her brain processed the image instantly.
"Lorena?" Natsha was certain she hadn't mistaken her.
Those heavy, storming footsteps. That was exactly how Lorena walked whenever she was furious.
She quickly chased after her. Only when the emergency exit door swung open did she finally manage to grab her by the shoulder.
Lorena spun around without hesitation. Her eyes were bloodshot. As if she could immediately beat the person in front of her senseless, regardless of whether she knew them or not.
A black mask concealed most of her face, revealing only her eyes. Her pale skin stood out sharply against the dark clothing.
A punch shot straight toward Natsha's face. Luckily, she reacted in time, catching Lorena's wrist with both hands.
What was this? They hadn't seen each other for three months and she already wanted to hit her? But she hadn't even done anything.
Her bewildered expression did nothing to ease the situation. The moment Lorena saw that innocent look, she threw her other fist as well.
Natsha dodged. Lorena's punch slammed directly into the metal door behind her.
The impact rang out like thunder. It definitely wasn't light.
Natsha's eyes widened. She quickly grabbed Lorena's still-clenched hand.
"It's all red!" She rubbed her hand gently. Lorena's knuckles were visibly flushed. Even though Lorena was an alpha she was a human too. Not made of bronze and iron.
Lorena roughly pulled her hand back. Without a single word, she rushed down the stairwell and disappeared.
Natsha was about to chase after her when her phone vibrated in her pocket, forcing her to stop.
She pulled it out. It was Mrs. Taechamongkalapiwat telling her to return to the room immediately.
Natsha frowned and let out a slow breath.

Lorena swung her leg and kicked each ball on the field with force. One by one, every single ball flew straight into the net under her strike.
But no one knew that the balls she kicked with all her strength were, in her mind, branded with the expressions of a face that everyone always praised as incomparably sweet.
"DAMN IT!" She shouted as she sent the last ball flying.
The whole team turned to look at the one venting her fury on the balls.
"Did someone piss her off?" A male alpha whispered, covering his mouth.
The person beside him only shook his head and shrugged in response.

Lorena returned to her apartment, her body drenched in sweat.
She quickly unlocked the door and stepped inside. A figure slipped in behind her using the same old trick.
Her body was spun around. The so-called "intruder" hugged her tightly, and the two of them fell onto the sofa.
Lorena had just finished training. The sweat hadn't even dried yet, and her hair was already sticking together. She needed a shower immediately.
"What. the. hell. are. you. doing?" Lorena growled, enunciating each word. She struggled to break free from the other's embrace. More precisely, from the hold that kept her from beating the girl up.
"Hugging you." The voice sounded slightly muffled, since she had buried her entire face against one of Lorena's shoulders.
"Are you insane? Can't you see I'm covered in sweat? Don't be such a pervert!" Lorena gritted her teeth. She had just come back from the soccer field. The sweat on her body was enough to drench the girl completely, yet she was still shamelessly pressing her face against her.
Natsha shifted the angle of her face, her cheek pressed firmly to Lorena's shoulder. With her slightly chubby cheeks, she looked a bit younger than her actual age.
"You smell good and I enjoy it." She replied casually.
"What do you want?" Lorena let out a breath.
"I want you to calm down." Natsha lifted her eyes to look at her.
"I am very calm." Lorena looked at her through half-lidded eyes.
Natsha shook her head.
"You look like the moment I let you go, you'll immediately punch me." She still remembered clearly the beating Lorena gave her three months ago! Natsha had received quite a bit of "compensation" that night, so she both liked and disliked that night at the same time.
The corner of Lorena's lips twitched. Because what Natsha said wasn't wrong at all!
"Why are you angry? Did I do something wrong?" Natsha asked gently, coaxing the Alpha's ego in front of her.
Lorena closed her eyes, as if resigning herself to the world.
"Fine, then I'll just hug you all night." Natsha wasn't backing down either. If Lorena didn't want to talk, she wouldn't lose out anyway.
"I..."
