Crossroads
So yes to fight scene, got it! Next chapter will not be out until this weekend. Enjoy this though!
Out of the shadows stepped Percy, he did not look like the boy in the picture. He was wearing full black that covered him from head to toe, his red eyes were a darker than before, almost black and the way he held himself, it was totally different. It was not relaxed, instead like a predator stalking its prey.
"You," Chaos growled, but his voice was different, it had a feminine voice, that his soldiers assumed was Cosmos. Percy's body smirked, something that made everyone there tremble as they felt something was slithering over their bodies.
"Hello again."
"What do you want?"
"A deal."
"Why would we deal with you," Chaos/Cosmos hissed. "You got our brother killed."
"I believe you killed him," It retorted in a calm tone.
"Only because you gave us no other choice," Chaos/Cosmos yelled. It narrowed their eyes, practically making the red disappeared.
"Do not yell at me for your brother's mistake of letting me in. At the time I was only doing what was natural to me."
"It seems this time is no different," Chaos/Cosmos sneered. "Trying to take the soul of one of my soldiers."
"I was ordered," It bellowed. "It is not like I wanted to!" This caused Chaos/Cosmos to come up short. "When I possessed your brother I was like a wild animal that only did on instinct. In this boy's body I am more civil and powerful. I do not understand since he is only a demigod, but it is true."
"So you don't want to take souls," Bell asked. It looked at her.
"I never said that, after all that is what I do to live in a host. If I do not take souls, then I will take my host's soul and thus expelling from the body. That is true even now. I have been fed monster souls as of recent and that has held me over."
"How long do you last in between souls?" It seemed to grow agitated.
"Your wrench of a mother wondered the same thing and tested it. It took a year in between times before I was about to take Percy's soul. It was painful though after six months because it was like I was starving myself, but still was able to hold out."
"Athena has the power over you then." Chaos/Cosmos commented. It now was fully angered.
"Do not say that bitch's name. I am appalled at how she found out to control me. I want my freedom, which is why I have come to make a deal. I want you to help me by getting rid of that bitch's hold on me. Do that and I swear I will only take souls that are corrupt or monster's souls."
"Why should we trust you," Chaos/Cosmos hissed. It looked annoyed.
"Because as I told Hestia I keep my oaths. It is the one thing I do not break and the one thing that matters to me."
"Why is that," Bell asked, curiosity getting the best of her.
"None of your business girl. So are you in or out."
"What about Percy," Hestia asked. "What will happen to him?" It gave her a look like she asked a really stupid question.
"He will be asleep inside of me, never to reawaken. Simple, plus without the pictures you just showed all of them they did not remember. Give it a year and they will forget for the most part, give it two and most likely all that will be left is a dream. The spell will work its magic and none the wiser, not even him."
"That isn't fair," Bell stated. It shrugged.
"Not all is fair, but it wasn't my fault what happened two hundred years ago. I just get eh benefits. Now are you in or out."
"We can just agree and then use the memories we have now to get Percy back," Ambrose telepathically said.
"I can hear you," It said in a bored tone. "Don't think I don't know that Chaos knows how to dispel me, after all I took over his brother. It won't work for you however. Hestia's memories will not work, because they are mostly from his darkest days, ones he wishes to forget. After all who would want to remembered being tortured continuously? The only one here that could possibly dispel me would Annabeth and she clearly doesn't remember, only a dream which isn't enough. So if you make the deal it will be with me."
"Do you have a name," Sadie asked out of the blue. Everyone stared at her. She looked sheepish. "If feels weird talking to a being without knowing its name." It shrugged.
"It is in an old language long forgotten even by Cosmos and Chaos, thus I no longer go by it. Plus, it hasn't mattered before. Call me by whatever you want if you must." Sadie paused for a moment.
"Sol, seems appropriate." It smirked.
"Sol it is. So do we have a deal?"
"You swear on out father and we have a deal." Sol sighed.
"I swear on the Void that if Chaos and his fellow companions find a way to free me of Athena's control I will only takes souls of the corrupt and monsters."
"Then it is agreed," Chaos/Cosmos said.
"Good, now all I know is that Athena had to sacrifice something to tie me to her. I do not know what it is and that the necklace she wears is the catalyst for her control. I cannot kill her because I was ordered not to. Also though I have sworn and I keep my oaths if that wench orders me with absolute control, which turns me into a mindless animal, I will attack. You must figure out how to stop her control before that happens. If it does, then there is nothing in this Universe that can stop me from killing all of you."
"I will look for an answer," Chaos said in his normal voice. The rest of you will stay here and act normal." Chaos turned to the gods. "You five are now our allies. If there is anything you can help with, please do it. As for the war that I called on, it will only be started again when we can take down the other gods who side with Athena and Zeus. The demigods and the others shall be sparred."
"Well, now that that is settled I must go," Sol said. "Then wench will come looking soon if she hasn't already. We don't want our little plan out of the bag just yet, do we?" With that Sol disappeared.
"How could you," Hestia yelled as she spun around to Chaos. "You just made a deal that makes sure that Percy will never come back again!" Chaos sighed.
"I did what was best for the Universe," Chaos told her. "It was right, I have no way to get Percy back."
"How is that possible," Bell asked unbelievably.
"It seems that whatever spell that Zeus and I am guessing Athena used it was from my father's library. I do not know how she got into his library since I am the only one who now knows where it is located, but I am going to go there and try to figure it out."
"So are you saying that there is no way for Percy to come back," Hestia asked, tears threatening to roll down her face.
"I am sorry Hestia, but I doubt it. With this deal and with the spell. Even if I did find a cure, It is still in his body. As it said no one will remember him, including us. I am betting that the only reason you remember is because you went and visited him constantly." Hestia couldn't take it anymore as she burst into tears. All were shocked, she had never lost Hope before. Hera couldn't stand it as she went over and hugged her.
"Sister," Hera tried to comfort her. Hestia hugged her back and cried into her shoulder. Hera started to pet her hair consoling her. Hades went over to his sisters and put a hand on Hestia's shoulder.
"Why does it always have to be him," Hestia screamed causing everyone to jump. She sobbed even harder. Everyone watched in sorrow as the goddess grieved for the boy she felt as a son. For the boy who had such a hard life.
On Olympus
Sol entered his room to see the Wisdom goddess sitting on the edge of his bed. He sneered at her.
"Where were you," she calmly asked.
"Why is it any of your business," he snarled surprising her.
"You can talk?" He ignored her question, which caused her to become agitated. "Answer me, where were you?"
"As I asked, why is it any of your business. I can come and go as I please, there is nothing that you can do to stop me from doing so." She stood up and faced him. He towered over her, but she was not frightened in the least.
"I control you," her voice turned to ice and the necklace shaped to be an eye glowed. Pain erupted in Sol's chest. It was easy to ignore at first, after all his vessel had grown used to being in pain from all the torture. She intensified her power causing Sol to finally gasp and clutch his chest. The pain again multiplied causing him to go to his hands and knees, one hand on the ground and the other still clutching his chest. His head was now pounding and his face twisted into a grimace.
"Now I'll ask you one more time, where were you?"
"A walk," Sol sputtered. "I went for a walk." She smirked and let her control over him dull. The pain going away so fast made his whole body numb and he fell to the ground on his side.
"Now was that so hard," he dully heard her ask before he passed out.
