True Intentions

Here is a longer chapter from my recent writings, it is a little over 2000 words!!! So you get to know what is going on in four places this time! Have Fun Reading!

Into The Woods We Go

A week, that is how long River and Brayden had been fighting monsters with nothing to show for it. It seemed like every monster that they came into contact with was so stupid. There had been a few intelligent ones, but they hadn't known anything either. After one particularly big horde that the defeated with again no results River was so agitated that she let out a scream.

"What the Hades!"

"You know it is not proper to use ones name as a cuss word," a male voice came from the shadows. Braydon and River turned quickly, weapons in hand. The god of the Underworld stepped out of the shadows.

"Clarisse de Rue and Chris Rodriguez. If anyone had told me that you guys were alive after two hundred years I would accuse them of lying. Seeing you with my own eyes on the other hand I cannot deny." River growled.

"How did you find us?" Hades smirked.

"You killed several of my Hellhounds and you expect me not to look into it. Now my question, how are you still alive."

"None of your business!" Hades didn't seem to like that as he stepped forward. It was seen as a threating gesture to River and Braydon so they put their armor on, ready for a fight. Hades' eyes grew wide and he took a step back.

"You are part of Chaos's Army."

"We are now River and Braydon, part of Chaos's Alpha Team," Braydon announced. "We are no longer Chris and Clarisse, not after the gods let us die." Hades sneered.

"That was something Zeus had done behind our backs. He thought all of you too strong and had you ambushed. It wasn't until later some of us found out he truth, but the others didn't believe us. My stupid brother of mine and his craze for power. Let's just say that not all of us wanted to go to war with Chaos, some of us wanted to surrender." There was a pause.

"Where do you fall." Braydon finally asked. Hades snorted.

"Where do you think? First, Zeus threatened the lives of my children and in the end he had them killed. If it wasn't for someone I owe I would have tried to kill him long ago."

"Swear it on the Styx," Braydon told him. Hades sighed.

"I swear on the Styx that I am not on Zeus's side." Thunder rumbled, but nothing happened to Hades. Braydon and River let their armor dissipate.

"We are looking for the creature that was brought by Athena, do you know anything about it," River asked. Hades shook his head.

"No, I don't. It seems that only Zeus and Athena do. I have tried to find the answers myself in the shadows, but I have found nothing. Is that what you guys are out here doing. Questioning monsters about it?" Braydon gave a slight nod.

"They will not know anything. You have been wasting your time." Braydon looked to River.

"It is time we inform Chaos." River nodded and looked to Hades.

"It seems like we can trust you. We will be back on Chaos's order." With that they teleported away and Hades was left in the middle of a forest.

The Hunt

Luna and Mist had quickly fallen into routine, after all they had both been lieutenants and it was like riding a bicycle. Atlanta was very surprised about their progress. They were able to shoot as well, they were holding back, as her. During the day they went along with the Hunt and by night they would take turns staying up to spy around. Nothing had occurred out of the ordinary for a little over a week, that changed on the night of a new moon. Mist was taking her turn to watch when she felt the power surge of anther god come to camp. She nudged Luna, who instantly woke up.

"There is another god with Artemis." They knew this was weird, because when they had been with her other gods hardly ever visited, this included even Apollo. They snuck out of their tent, not making a sound as they crept to Artemis's tent. It was easy to do, even with the hunter on watch. Because of their gifts they were able to hear inside the tent, even when it was enchanted not to be able to.

"He went over my head Artemis and took the Amazons to camp through Phobos and Ares." It was a goddess talking to Artemis and Mist knew exactly who it was because she had hated this goddess the most when she lived on Earth. "I punished Ares and Phobos, but Zeus will not let me return them back to their home. He wants all of the demigods together to fight against Chaos's Army when they return. He will probably ask for your Hunters to come back to camp also."

"I already lost some to the last fight Hera, I do not intend to do let that happen again. How does it go with finding out what that being was that Athena brought to the battlefield?" It was quiet as the girls waited for an answer.

"I don't know," Hera said. "Zeus will not tell me and as far as I know only Athena knows what it is."

"If only the others could see what they are really like, only using others for tools," Artemis said with disgust in her voices. "They still don't even know that Zeus planned the ambush with the monsters almost two hundred years ago. He killed all of those demigods including three of his own children."

"They are blind, but we must keep trying. Chaos coming is a good thing, maybe it will wake them up. I still think that we should figure out how to communicate with them. That way we can tell them that some of us would like to surrender and help them."

"It would cause less deaths in this war. Who would know how though?"

"I'll ask Hestia and see if she knows, after all she seems to know everything."

"Isn't she still missing since Chaos came?"

"Yeah."

"I wonder if she is visiting that demigod again. It all started with them."

"It is frustrating that Zeus used a spell so powerful that we even forgot mostly everything. We don't even remember their name or their parentage anymore."

"I doubt even in death that their friends remember."

On Olympus

Ambrose and Bell had found a place to stay, some sort of hotel for gods that were visiting Olympus. Thanks to Chaos they had an unlimited supply of drachma to pay for it. Little by little they had been exploring Olympus and after little more than a week they had come up with nothing. This frustrated both, but more so Ambrose. For the past two nights he had begun to complain and now that they were almost out of places too look, it made him even more irritable.

"How can Olympus have no information about a being under their care!" Bell glared at him.

"Keep your voice down." Though she was just as frustrated she knew that they needed to be calm. "Let's continue or tour." Giving small complaints, Ambrose followed Bell around Olympus. An hour passed until they found themselves in an area that neither knew existed.

"Do you know where this place is," Ambrose asked Bell, keeping his voice down.

"No."

"Me either." They felt four stronger gods appear near them and decided to check it out. Careful to hide in the shadows and objects near them they snuck up on the four gods. The two were surprised to find Hera, Artemis, Apollo, and Hades.

"Why did you call us Hades," Hera asked with a glare. "You know that it is dangerous." Hades rolled his eyes.

"I have information that I think that you want to hear since you are the one that suggested that we somehow find the Chaos Army or Chaos and surrender to them." The three other gods eyes grew wide.

"You found one of them," Apollo asked. Hades nodded.

"Two soldiers and you won't believe who they were?" He gave a pause for a dramatic effect. "Clarisse de Rue and Chris Rodriguez."

"What," Apollo asked as the other two were speechless.

"Yeah, they were fighting monsters looking for answers about the being that Athena brought with here. After a small talk they said that they seemed to be able to trust me and went back to Chaos to get orders."

"We all need to talk to them when they get back," Hera said. Artemis and Apollo nodded.

"Meanwhile any luck with finding out what Athena brought with her," Hades asked the other three.

"None of us," Apollo said frustrated.

"Zeus will not budge," Hera said. "I honestly wonder if he knows what it is. Athena as the one to control it. Power is what Zeus's after so why would he give Athena control over something so powerful unless she had created it herself. I think she just let him know that it is there for him to use, to get on his good side."

"How about Hestia," Hades asked. "Has she still been missing since Chaos came?"

"She has," Artemis informed him.

"Do you think she know what it is," Apollo asked. Artemis shrugged.

"Without her here we do not know."

"Does she still visit the demigod," Hades asked.

"I helped her around fifty years ago," Hera told him. "I haven't since."

"I helped her the day before Chaos arrived," Apollo told them.

"I wish we could remember who it was," Hades said agitated.

"We all do," Artemis agreed. They all grew quiet.

"Zeus is looking for me," Hera said. "I have to go." With that she flashed out.

"We better leave too so we aren't caught," Apollo commented. With that the others flashed out leaving Ambrose and Bell with a lot more questions than answers.

Somewhere

It sat in the darkness, but not in the place it had been before. This place was less of a prison, after all the prison that held him before no longer worked. It was in a room with a bed and bathroom, but it sat on the floor in the dark, comfortable. A small light grew and faded. It opened its eyes to see a goddess in a body of an eight-year-old standing in front of it.

"Hello Hestia." The goddess's eyes grew wide at the voice. It was much deeper than she had heard it last and it echoed. "Surprised it seems, after all I am not the one you came to see."

"What happened," Hestia asked. It chuckled, making her skin crawl.

"I finally won. You see he never gave up, just like you said. He kept hope. It wasn't until his friends showed up that he finally broke." Hestia was confused.

"The Chaos Army that came, the ones that I was ordered to kill by that wench, those beings were his friends. Though they do not remember him, he remembered them. I went to kill one, the son of Hades. He didn't like that and fought for his friends to be spared. So I made a deal. His friend's lives for his own. I take full control of his body and I swore not to harm his friends. He jumped on it and you see the results. I have total reign and I can even speak. Something that I couldn't do last time. It is strange in one of the top three most powerful being's body and I was not as powerful as I am now."

"What are you going to do?" It tilted its head, its red, slitted eyes staring at the goddess. "You swore not to harm his friends, but you are under the control of Athena." It growled.

"Do not speak the vile, wrench's name in front of me. I do not know how she found the information to control me, but I will find how to break it and leave Earth."

"So you will not hurt his friends." It gave her a sorta duh look.

"I swore did I not? Unlike most, I do keep my oaths."
