"You heard the man." Ghastly pointed his knife at the witness. "Remove that neck scarf of yours...now."

Francis was silent for a moment, as if he was laughing to himself. But then, he removed his neck scarf...

...To reveal a bunch of scratch marks around his neck.

"Wait...don't tell me you knew about this?!" Polly looked at Athena, her eyebrow raised.

"All the facts point to it!" Athena slammed the desk. "The witness got these marks as he was strangling one of the victims! The mark on his cheek also represents where I slapped my kidnapper! Thus it can on-"

"OBJECTION!"
Francis yelled out, his hand over his face, grinning like a maniac.

Athena frowned. "What is it?"

"...Evidence is everything in a court of law." Francis began. "All you're spouting here is pure conjecture...and no evidence."

"Ah-!" Athena clasped her hand over her mouth. "E-Evidence-!"

Francis continued. "And come to think of it, you haven't even provided me with a motive..." He smirked. "...Have you?"

"Uh..." Polly bit her lip.

"I'll tell you what..." Francis clicked his fingers. "...Provide me with a motive...and then I'll confess to everything. Every single last bit."

"W-Witness...?" Ghastly clenched his knife.

"Athena! Motive! Go!" Polly slammed the desk.

"I...do have a bit of an idea..." Athena muttered. "It's something about his true identity!"

"T-True what now?" Polly tilted her head.

"You'll see!" Athena slammed the desk. "Mr Jean Francis! The defence will gladly take on your request!"

"Ha!" Francis laughed. "As if you cou-"

"All will become clear when this court finds out who you really are." Athena grinned.

"You won't be saying that when I prove everything!" Athena crossed her arms.
