"Alright," Napoleon Solo said the moment he opened his briefcase where he had concealed his gun beneath a stack of old newspaper and an extra shirt. He closed the briefcase and turned around to face his partners with a gun in his hand. "I will go first."

"No," Illya took a step forward, "I will go first."

"Not again," Gaby grumbled under her breath while she massaged her aching head. She had had just about enough of their bickering and knew them both well enough to know that no matter what, it would not end anytime there. Instead of waiting on them she went on ahead, not stopping to inform them that she had left. There was little time now. During the chase, Napoleon had given Illya the wrong directions and it had led them to a dead end. Another argument had followed that.

She had entered the warehouse to find it a little unusual. Unlike other warehouses, this one had a front entrance that led three ways. Two were down halls and the third was through a massive double door.

Behind Gaby, the front doors opened. She turned around to find Illya and Napoleon walking in, the look on Illya's face was enough to tell her exactly why the argument had finally ended. But just like that, they were arguing again. This time it was about which way they would go.

Gaby decided on the one option neither men had, straight. She pushed open the large door and peered into what had appeared to be a large room with only the light filtering in from the windows high up near the ceiling to light it. She pulled back and turned around to call for the boys, "Pst!" she whispered as loud as she could.

"Enough!" she hissed, silencing them both and grabbing their attention. "This way."

She didn't bother to wait on them as she slipped into the room and allowed the door to close behind her. Illya and Napoleon shared a quick look.

"Or there is that way too," Napoleon said as he followed shortly behind Gaby, leaving Illya to sigh and follow in his footsteps.

Inside the room, the three of them stood by the door until their eyes adjusted to the dim lighting and then they began searching the room. It didn't take them long to find the girl. She had been positioned in the middle of the room, tied up to a chair with a brown potato sack over her head.

Instinctively, Napoleon and Gaby rushed forward but Illya kept put. Something seemed off about the whole thing. For one, it had been far too silent when they arrived and even more so when they entered the building. Now here the girl sat in a chair with no one watching over her?

"Something's wrong," he said out loud, stopping Gaby and Napoleon in their tracks.

Gaby turned around first, her eyes doubling in size as the color drained from her face, "Illya watch out!" she cried out, her warning a second too late.

Illya staggered sideways, his hand cupping his throbbing head. Napoleon had rushed forward only to have someone else tackle him from the side.

"It's an ambush!" Gaby cried out moments before something hard connected with her head sending her flying sideways and slipping into darkness. Illya's voice was the last thing she heard before her vision went black.

"Gaby?" a voice called out to her.

She groaned softly, her entire body aching to remind her that she was very much alive and still on a cold concrete ground. She took a moment, her eyes opening slowly and then closing as her vision readjusted itself. In front of her, she could make out a pair of shoes, ones that she remembered Illya wearing that day. She noticed the pair of shoes were bent in an odd way, almost as if someone was kneeling down. She blinked again, and when her eyes opened, she looked up to find him staring down at her with a look of concern.

Slowly, Gaby sat up, her entire body aching from the collision, "What happened?" she managed while she looked around to see a few men lying on the floor unconscious.

"Clearly a step up," Napoleon replied. She turned around to find him sitting down on the large unconscious man she recognized. Gaby turned away, her eyes frantically scanning the warehouse for any sign of the girl. "Seems she was in on it." He tossed aside something he had been fiddling with and looked up. "She got away while we were distracted... though she's really handy with a chair."

Gaby glared at Napoleon, she placed a hand on her head and then turned to look at Illya, "So she escaped?"

"Unfor-"

"No, no," a voice called out, "I believe she is right here."

Startled, all three turned around to find an unlikely face standing in front of the door with the very same girl they had been talking about, beside him. Illya was the first to climb to his feet. He rushed forward, ready to get revenge for Gaby.

"Oh no!" Alexander Waverly shook his head at Illya and moved to stand in front of the girl. "She's not to be harmed."

"She attacked me!" Gaby cried out. She was now on her feet, her head aching for a whole new reason.

Waverly lowered his gaze and then turned around to look at the girl, "I know, Miss Teller," he said softly after taking a moment to consider his choice of words. "My fault, I should have specified some things more clearly."

"What is going on?" Napoleon asked.

"Right," he clapped his hands together, a warm smile appearing on his face. "You three have been set up."

"Set up?" Gaby and Illya said together.

"Yes," Waverly sigh softly, his eyes lowering back to the ground. "It's not always easy bringing agents together, especially when they are your best. Miss Anna, here, is under the impression that she and some of my men were to test your abilities... what she doesn't know is that this was just my way of introducing her to her new team."

"I'm sorry, what?" Anna stepped forward, a look of outrage twisting her features. "Team? Did you just say the one word I hate?"

"No, I believe partner is the word you hate."

"Regardless," she held up her hand and shook her head. "I do not need a team!"

Napoleon glanced over at Gaby and Illya, a smile slowly twisting his lips, "Sounds like someone I know," he said, earning a dirty looking from Illya.

"My word is final, Anna," Waverly said to her, turning around to face the young woman. "You four will get cleaned up and meet me at Maria's in one hour. We will discuss your new assignment." With that, he glanced at Anna one last time before walking out the room and leaving her behind.

Gaby was still having a hard time processing everything while Illya and Napoleon observed their newest member. Anna didn't acknowledge any of them, nor did she say a single word about anything. Instead, she glowered at the unconscious man at Napoleon's feet and then turned to leave the room.
