"Lily, what are we doing? Why are we even here?" Felix asked.

I didn't turn to look at my squad-how could I? I failed, and I dragged them along with me. So instead I looked out upon the city from the building that stood as a skyscraper above it. Like a towering king over his subjects as I met my defeat.

"We're here because..." I heard a deep, but calming voice say behind me as a hand was put on my shoulder turning me around, gently. I looked into the eyes of my second hand man, and the person I found myself falling for with every word he said. "-because, we believe in her, and we all would follow her to the end. She's not in this alone. She would do the same for us. We're a team. We go this journey, united together..." he said looking into my eyes and then turning to the four other faces that looked to us.

He turned to look out into the city I had previously been looking out at, that I found myself yet again looking at, staring off into space.

"... and we're not backing down. Ever. This is our mission, our fight. We've made it through worse-"

"-actually, technically speaking..." Eric cut in, he put glasses back to rest on his nose.

"Technically speaking-" I cut in, turning to them."-he's right. United we stand. Together we fall. Till our last breathe we fight. For our freedom and theirs..."

This story has been on wattpad before, but I have deleted and revised and then lost the account- so I made a new one and I'm starting this book series off from scratch!

It's is honestly my favorite and best book personally I think I have written. So much time, and writing, editing, revising, etc-has been done to this book alone not including the second book that was recently started but deleted due to account movement.

So please read and enjoy! I hope you like it and fall in love with it as much as this author has!
