It was later that night I woke up with fright. I had the worst nightmare and my sluggish mind was terrified. I tried to calm my breathing and slowly my senses became alive. A throbbing pain radiated from my upper collarbone making me suddenly aware. With a trembling hand, I clutched my neck while slowly opening my eyes. For a moment everything stilled and I was stunned with silence. The traitorous stench of fear oozed from my pores when everything registered in my mind.

My worst nightmare became true..
