Steve's POV
I run with Peggy to find Clara. Peggy starts slowing down and gets tired. That never happens. she's always ready to go.
"Pegs?" I say. Peggy falls to the ground. The team turns around and I signal them to keep running.
"Stevie..." Peggy says weakly. I did down by her side and look into her eyes.
"Pegs! Stay with me!" I say.
"I feel... Weak... Less observant... When I was... In the cell... They.... Drained something...." Peggy says and her eyelids start to close.
"Peggy!" I scream. Her breathing gets rasper.
"Stevie..." Peggy says and her eyes lose its life. I cry and hug her lifeless body. Her arms droop down by her sides and I kiss her and pray that she comes back to live.
"Peggy..." I say weakly. Her dark brown hair touches my skin. It's soft and silky. Her skin is going ghostly white.

Her warmth is leaving her body and all the memories that we had together flash by my eyes.

I give the flag to Peggy and she smiles. I get a ride back to the army camp on the back of their van.

I jump on a dummy grenade whilst training and peggy laughs.

We are in the car on the way to get injected with super soldier serum

Peggy walks around the corner in her red dress, asking for a dance with me.

I wake up from my series of flashbacks and look down at Peggy. She gulps in some air and I hug her again.
"Peggy?" I say. Peggy's eyes flutter open and I realise I have my strength from the serum back. Without thinking, I lean in and kiss Peggy on the lips and draw back.
"Stevie, wh-what happened?" Peggy asks.
"

I kissed you" I say. Peggy rolls her eyes.

"No, before that!" She says. My vision fogs up with tears and I am about to explain when the team comes around the corner. With Clara. Bucky runs over to Peggy and I's side. Peggy is still weak and pale.
"why did she collapse?" Bucky asks. I scratch the back of my head. Peggy looks at me and I knew I had to tell them
"Pegs, you died" I say. Bucky gasps and Peggy does as well.
"w-w-what? How?" Peggy says, panicking. I calm her down and Bucky looks at me with wide eyes.

Peggy's POV

SteveRogersSoldier You remember this, don't you?

when we get back to the hotel, Stve and I head to my room. We did on the bed together and I realise he is in his Captain America suit.
"Do you have anything other than your captain America suit?" I ask him.
"yeah. My sweatpants and a t-shirt" He answers. I facepalm.
"oh Stevie" I say.
"what?" he asks
"you need more than two outfits" I say.
"I don't have any money" he complains.
"Go and ask Tony Stark, Howard's son." I say. Steve starts to pout.
"what?" I ask
"I don't wanna ask the famous Tony" he says and he gives in "I will go and get some clothes" I look through the drawers and I find some clothes and throw it at him and it lands on his face.
"dodge it next time, steve" I say and throw another one at him. He catches it and throws one back. I duck it and pick up another item of clothing in the process and throw it at him. Steve tried to duck it and loses his balance and falls on the floor. I trip and fall next to him.
"has a nice fall?" Steve asks and laughs. I place my head on his chest.
"It was rather pleasant" I answer and look into his eyes "Your eyes are beautiful, like the ocean" I say.
"really?" Steve asks.
"I would never forget" I say and listen to his heartbeat on his chest. Still alive and next to me. Then Steve does something unexpected. He kisses me.

I am taken by surprise and I blush. Steve laughs and it reminds me of the time before he left to... crash... the ship...
"Captain America...." I say
"Yeah, Pegs?" he asks.
"why did you have to crash the ship?" I ask.
"I had no choice. It was eithier me living or thousands of people dying" he answers and my eyes swell up with tears.
"If you had let me get Howard-" I start.
"The main controls were broken" Steve says and gets up. I sit up and look up at him.
"I should have been there with you-" I start.
"no, Peggy. It wasn't fun being asleep for 70 years" Steve says. I get up and hug him.
"Don't leave" I say.
"I won't" Steve says. I smile and playfully push him into a wardrobe.
"hey!" he says and I pull him into the centre of the hotel room.
"ever wanted to learn how to dance?" I ask. Steve smiles and nods. I hold his hand and twirl underneath his arm.
"it should come naturally" I say and begin to dance. Steve copied what I do and we waltz around the room.

I lean in on his chest and Steve hugs me tight we stand in the middle of the room for a long time until Bucky comes in and we quickly separate.
"um... I was just gonna say you... left the door open" Bucky says and backs away "Oh, and also we have a meeting"
