Michael's POV:

The next day started by Leticia and I hurrying out the door. We were running behind this morning because we had a late night, last night. We quickly climbed into my Ford 1-50 truck, and headed to the university, where I dropped Leticia off. Leticia got out of the truck and came over to my driver side window, where she gave me a kiss on the lips.

"I look okay, right?" Leticia asked.

"You look absolutely gorgeous." I complimented. "Besides, you should probably take advantage of wearing skinny jeans, before you can't wear them at all."

Leticia playfully punched me in my left shoulder.

"Now, you be careful, you hear." Leticia instructed.

"Of course."

"Good and remember what I told you too."

"Yes, yes, I won't let your brother get to me." I promised.

Leticia smiled and gave me one more quick kiss on the lips, before she headed to her first class. I waited until Leticia made it into the building safely before I drove off.

At the police station, I was in the interrogation room with Mateo. I was seated across from Mateo, who was staring me down. But even at that, I didn't let him get to me. There were several minutes of silence between us. I suppose he was trying to intimidate me, while I was using the time to think of words to retaliate back at him.

"I can't believe that I welcomed you into my home. Let you date my sister. And after all that, you still decide to betray me." Mateo said.

"Yeah well, I can't believe that a huge successful drug dealer like yourself did that either."

Mateo instantly became made.

"Read my lips, Michael. No matter where you go or where you are, I will always be watching you. You cannot hide from me. If you think prison will stop me, you are wrong. And I can promise you that I will have my revenge. And when that day comes, you will regret betraying me." Mateo threatened. "That day is when I will kill you."

"Is that a threat?" I asked.

"Usted puede contar con el (you can count on it)."

I shot up from my seat. I started walking toward the door, when all of a sudden Mateo opened his mouth and said, "And don't think I will forget about you getting my sister pregnant."

I turned my head back around. How did he know that? I walked back over to the interrogation table, and took my seat.

"How did you know about that?"

"You should know that I am well connected by now." Mateo hinted. "You know what Michael, you have some nerve putting my life in jail, and taking my sister's. So tell me, how did she react to you being an undercover cop, who is putting her brother in jail? Did she discard you?"

I smiled over at Mateo. He had the wrong idea about Leticia and I. So here was my chance to intimidate him back. And I knew it was gonna work.

"The funny thing is, is that Leticia didn't leave me. In fact, Mateo, she is living with me." I explained. "And I will have you know that I will take care of her and my child. And I sure as heck, won't be thinking about you during that time. So enjoy your stay in prison. I hear it is lovely inside those concrete walls."

I stood up from my seat and headed out of the room, as Mateo yelled, "Damn you, Michael!"
