"Come in," Lisha shouted in response to the knock.

The door opened slowly before revealing the entrance of Hanmi, then Daniel.

Lisha raised her head from her MacBook and a smile appeared on her face.

"This one that you're here, I hope you're not here to teach me Luxembourgish because I've thought against it oo," Lisha joked as she stood up.

Hanmi smiled at her before sitting on the sofa alongside Daniel while Lisha pulled one of the visitor's seat to them.

"Not at all, I'm also busy but Daniel insisted on me bringing him to you."

Lisha nodded as she turned to Daniel, "Mr. Daniel, how may help you? We don't know each other right? Have me met before?"

Daniel smiled, "I need to talk to you."

Lisha opened her mouth to talk but Hanmi beat her to it, "I'm off to SOIL restaurant."

"Won't you go with your friend?" Lisha inquired.

"No."

"Oh okay, extend my greetings to Mama."

Hanmi nodded before smiling at his friend then he walked out of the office.

Daniel rubbed his palm as he stared at Lisha who threw daggers at him.

"What do you want to talk about? If it's to justify yourself after getting Nikki pregnant and running off, then you might as well run off now," she said while still glaring at him.

"It's not that."

"Then, what's it?" She eyed him.

"I'm only hear to explain things."

Lisha opened her palms, "What's the difference? Anyway, go on, I'm all ears but you have to be fast with, I've got work to do so, don't try proving storyteller here."

Daniel nodded before clearing his throat, "Nikki and I started dating in our first year, we…"

Lisha cut in, "Is that the explanation? To explain your relationship life with her or what?"

He shook his head, "No, I…"

She cut in, "No, then why are you telling me? I told you to be first with it but you decided to start from the beginning, see, Nikki is around and you're very much aware that she mustn't see you."

Daniel nodded, "Okay, Nikki got pregnant when we were in our second year."

Lisha nodded, "Nikki got pregnant abi you got her pregnant."

He nodded, "Yeah, at that time, after Nikki told me she was expecting a baby, and I was over joyous, so I ran out to get the ring"

Lisha cut him off, "Wait, you wanted to propose to her then?"

He bobbed his head, "Yeah."

"So, you wanted to marry her in 200 level or you wanted her to be a ring bearer for years?"

He stuttered, "Umm yeah."

"Yeah to what? Anyway, continue with the story."

"So, when I ran out the cops appeared in the front of our house."

"Which house?"

"Nikki and I."

Lisha lifted her brows, "So, you guys were already married couples then."

He shook his head, "No, anyway I was arrested then for attempted murder."

Lisha jumped up quickly, "You wanted to kill someone?"

"No, it was a mistake, it was David and not me."

Lisha sat down, "Who is David?"

"My twin brother, we're identical twins."

Lisha raised her brows, "Ummm, I hope you're not telling a lie?"

"No, I'm not, I got detained for some days before they eventually found David, after I got freed, my dad decided I should further my education in Luxembourg."

"Why?"

"Actually, I was meant to study there but then something happened, so I stayed in Nigeria until my dad decided I should go, so, I declined and rushed out of the house only to get hit by a car."

Lisha bit on her lower lip, "Oh, so, you didn't get a fractured skull or a broken leg?"

"It was a serious accident so, I was flown abroad, I was in come for almost  a year, after I regained consciousness, I had no other choice than to study over there," he ended it with a small smile.

Lisha nodded, "Your story is interesting, I hope you didn't cook it."

He shook his head, "It's the truth."

"So, what should I do with it?"

"Can you please help me to talk to her?"

"Why?"

"Because I'm sincere and I still love her."

Lisha lifted her brows, "Well, I'll try to but I'm not guaranteeing anything."

He nodded, "Thanks a lot."

"You're not welcome."

"Uh? Did she have the baby?"

Lisha smiled briefly, "Yeah, she did, her name is Miracle."

A grin spread across Daniel's face, "Wow, that's great," he shouted.

"Keep it low," Lisha cautioned, and he smiled.

"I'm sorry, I was just excited."

Lisha nodded, "Is that all?"

"Yes. Thanks," he rose and smiled at her before walking out of the office.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Nikki bellowed after opening the door of her room oy to come in contact with her sister.

"I need to talk to you," Lisha said calmly before strolling into the room.

"I have nothing to say to you," Nikki replied with irritation laced in her voice. Ever since she got back from her parents place, she'd given Lisha the cold shoulder even though Lisha had tried talking to her.

"You have to listen to me, it's about Daniel, there's something you need to know," she turned back to look at her sister who had her hands on her jutted hips and wore a frown.

Nikki scoffed, "I don't want to listen to you."

"But, you…"

She cut in, "I know you want me to get back with Daniel but it's not possible, I love Jimi and nobody can stop me from fighting for my love."

Her brows snapped together, " What love are you fighting for?"

Nikki raised her palm, "If you have nothing better to say then leave, just bear it in mind that you can have Jimi," then she proceeded to her bed but had to turn back halfway.

Lisha rubbed her temples in frustration, "Nikki, get hold of yourself, you're the only behaving…"

She cut in, "Crazy right? Well, I'm crazy for love, Lisha you knew from day one that I liked this guy but you went ahead to…"

Lisha cut her off, "Can you just shut up? I see no reason why we're arguing over this issue."

Nikki scoffed a laugh, "You'll see it soon, one thing I know is that he'll still be mine, your relationship can't last more than three months just like the others, you don't know how to keep one, no one wants you, no one loves you and most of all no one needs your bad luck," she ended it with a snicker.

Lisha dashed her a dirty look as she resisted the urge to slap her, she was sure if she did that when she was this angry, Nikki might go deaf.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do you want to kill me just like you killed Gran or did I lie about everything I said?" Nikki hollered.

A fresh swell of her anger coursed through her, "You still have the audacity to say it to my face that I killed Gran when you are the perpetrator?"

Nikki waved her palm, "What's more is that people believe you're the one that killed her and…"

"Shut that damn thing you call a mouth! Why do you take joy lying against me?"

Nikki chuckled, "Because it's fun, at least you still get little of the pain I'm feeling internally."

Lisha rolled her eyes, "What pain? Why did you just decide to antagonize my life."

"You did that not me," Nikki fired.

"I realize you only feed on cobwebs, I'm done talking to you but before  I Ieave, this is my stern warning, anytime you say I killed Gran again, just know you're in for it."

Nikki smirked, "Well, this is my stern warning too, just know I'm always at your back, my eyes is all over you."

Lisha hissed scathingly before inching her way out of the room.

"Close the door behind you oo," Nikki shouted in a mocking tone while Lisha ignored her.
