Hera rushes forwards as Kanan hastily moves out of the way.
"What's blocking his airway?" Hera asks. Still in shock, Kanan doesn't answer. "Kanan! What happened before you comm'ed me?"
Kanan's massages his forehead and begins pacing, "Um... He was coughing, then it sounded like he was having trouble breathing. Then he threw up-"
"Help me turn him! Now!" Hera orders urgently, pulling away the extra pillows.
Together, the two turn Ezra on his side in a way one would to another who remained unresponsive after being pulled above water.
Hera pounds Ezra roughly on his back, mindful of his injuries.
Vomit spews out of his mouth and onto the floor, barely missing Kanan, who jumped out of the way.
As vomitting turns to gagging and gagging back to coughing, Kanan moves to clean up his Padawan's bile in hopes of keeping the smell from causing another vomit spell.
Bending down, Kanan spots something, "Hera..." He says wearily.
"What?" Hera asks. Just as weary towards the possibility of more bad news.
"What does this look like to you?"
"Puke."
Kanan gave Hera a long suffering look, "I'm serious! Look closer."
Hera complies, "Blood. Not good."
Ezra's coughing fit becomes rougher with the absence of Hera.
"Kanan." He looks up at Hera, "Roll Ezra onto back again, I need to check his throat."
Kanan gives a curt nod before moving to do as asked.
Hera pulls out a small flashlight, gently opening Ezra's mouth and inspecting his throat.
"His mucus is getting thicker. No wonder he's having trouble breathing." Hera scans the room before signing in exasperation, "But I don't see any tears in his throat, just irritation. I'm assuming the blood came from his stomach. Definitely not good." Hera steps back, eyeing Kanan carefully, "I don't know what I can do about the blood in his stomach without the elixir, but the mucus is something I can take care of. Wait here."
Hera leaves the room only to pop her head back in, "Keep and eye on him!" Before dissapearing again.
Rushing out of the room oncemore, Hera hurries to the cockpit where she orders Chopper to keep watch of the ship before grabbing a spare datapad and something similar to an inhaler.
Hurrying back into the room, Hera shoves the inhaler-like object into Kanan's hands.
"I was doing some reading on poisons and it's effects. If it's what I think it is, we need to watch out for asthma-like attacks." Hera states, typing away at the datapad. "Basically, what he is having now."
Hera places the datapad down and takes the inhaler from Kanan.
"I need you to gently massage his chest. Don't pound on it unless he's really struggling to get a breath." Hera moves to let Kanan stand near Ezra's chest while she replaces Kanan in his vacated spot.
Timing Ezra's breathing pattern, Hera gives Ezra two doses from the inhaler before stepping back again.
"Do I even want to know where you got that from?" Kanan asks, looking up from his spot of rubbing Ezra's chest lightly.
"Probably not." Was the only response he got.

"You sure that's what Hera was talking about?" Sabine asks, eyeing the bag suspiciously.
Zeb reaches in and pulls out a large, secure, thermos-like container. "Yep."
"How can you be so certain?" Sabine asks as Zeb puts the bottle back in the bag.
"Because," Zeb pulls out multiple containers with various herbs inside, "The woman gave me these as well. They're all on the list."
Zeb puts the items back in the bag before clinging to Sabine as she urges the speeder to move faster.

Back on the Ghost, Chopper rolls in with Hera behind him.
"How's he doing?" Hera asks, her eyes focused on the datapad in her hands.
Chopper nudges Hera's leg, causing her to look down at him before turning her gaze on Ezra, who lay soundly asleep in bed, and Kanan. The later using a combination of Ezra's legs and his own arms to make an improve pillow.
"Kanan?" Hera says softly.
Kanan mumbles incoherently before turning his head and shifting to get more comfortable, only to slide to far and off the chair.
Landing with an omph, Kanan raises a hand to his head and blinks dazedly, "Hera?"
Hera covers up her chuckles with a cough before turning serious, "How is he?"
"As to be expected. He's fever was rising so I replaced the cloth. Must have fallen asleep."
"Must have." Hera muses to herself. Moving towards Ezra she replaces the cloth with a fresh one before sticking the thermometer in his mouth.
After a minute, it beeps and Hera takes the thermometer out of Ezra's mouth.
Worry prominently displayed on her face as she reads the number, "105.7 degrees Fahrenheit and rising."
Kanan makes his way and stands by Ezra, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"Any more coughing fits?" Hera asks.
"Two between when you left and when I fell asleep. But I don't believe he had any. I would've woken up." Kanan responds nochoherintly, never taking his eyes off his student.
Hera raises a tattooed eyebrow but chooses not to comment, instead pulling up another chair next to Kanan and plopping down.
With a tired sigh, she massages her head, "I don't know what else to do."
"There's nothing else to do but wait." Kanan says, his elbows on his knees. Chin resting against his hands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hera and Kanan wake to the blaring of monitor alarms and an Ezra-less bed.
"Ezra!" Hera shouts, standing quickly and rushing to the other side of the bed to look for Ezra, only to find him on the ground, twitching violent and tangled in Medbay blankets, "Kanan!"
Kanan is by her side her side in an instant, "What should I do?!" Panic seeping into his usually calm voice, "What's happening to him?"
"He's having a seizure. Untangle him while I get anything that could hurt him out of the way." Hera orders as she pulls a pillow off of Ezra's temporary bed.
She gingerly lifts his head and places the pillow under his neck so that his head is level with his body.
Kanan, having successfully untangled the blanket from his Padawan, sits on his knees at Ezra's side. He looks torn between looking lost and panicking as he turns to Hera, "Should I hold him down?"
Hera shakes her head no, "Chopper," The droid rolls forwards, "You've kept track of how when the seizure started?"
Confirmative grumbles are heard from the droid.
"Good." Hera says, turning back to Kanan, "This is all I know how to do. No we have to wait."
Five painstakingly long minutes later, Ezra is slowly released from the grasp of his seizure.
"Help me lift him," Hera says softly.
Together, Kanan and Hera lift Ezra onto the bed and re-hook the IVs and other medical utensils to him.
Kanan gently adjusts the blanket that's resting overtop of Ezra, "Now what?"
Hera caresses the side of Ezra's face softly, "We wait."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hera!"
Hera leaps up and races down to the Medbay.
"What? What is it?!" She shouts, scanning the room for trouble. Her eyes landing on Kanan worryingly fussing over his Padawan.
"He's not breathing!"
Hera's eyes widen as she quickly pushes past Kanan and to Ezra's side.
"Chopper!" Hera holds out her hand, and Chopper places the inhaler into her waiting palm.
Hera quickly yanks off the respirator that had been in use since Ezra's last coughing fit left him at a loss with more than a little blood.
"What are you doing?!" Kanan asks frantically.
"I don't know!" Hera responds just as frantically, panic and volume gradually increasing in her voice, "Im trying to save him!"
"Don't try! Just do it!"
"Kanan! Now is not the time for one of your Jedi lessons!" Hera snaps, administering the correct dosage to Ezra before turning him on his side again.
"It's not working!"
"I can see that! Chopper, get in contact with Zeb and Sabine. We need them now."
The droid rolls off as Hera lays Ezra flat onto his back.
Ezra's heart begins slowing down.
"Kanan, he's going into Cardiac Arrest!"
"Oh no you don't, kid." Kanan says, gripping Ezra's hand, "You're staying with me. With all of us."
Ezra begins choking.
Kanan helps Hera tilt Ezra over again and his vomit splatters across the floor.
Concern on both of the parental-figures faces, Hera jumps back to work. Prepping the 'paddles' while Kanan gripped Ezra's hand a little tighter.
That's the moment Ezra starts seizing.
Kanan let out a string of curse words as he tries to get anything that could potentially harm Ezra out of the way.
As soon as the seizure starts, it stops. Leaving a deathly still Ezra in its wake.
Another curse.
The heart monitor beeps sluggishly.
Hera amps up the 'paddles' before quickly running Kanan through the process (which he quickly repeats) and yells "Clear!"
Five shocks later, the later two with a higher charge, and the adults are running out of options.
Ezra is unresponsive, his pulse weakening.
"Clear!"
Nothing but the ever fading heartbeats. A growing silence between each.
A crash sounds from outside the ship.
"Chopper!" Hera shouts, ready for another shock, "Find what caused that noise, we don't have time for th-"
"We got it!" Sabine yells as she races into the room. A thermos-like object tightly clutched in her hands.
Zeb follows in a beat after her. They both look ruffed up between Zeb's bleeding shoulder and half of Sabine's hair missing on one side. Kanan was tempted to ask, but there wasn't- isn't time.
"Are you certain that is what we need?" Kanan questions skeptically.
"We think so."
"Think, or know?"
"Well, seeing as I said think. I mean think."
"'Think' isn't good enough! We should know for certain what we're putting in Ezra or it would only make it worse-"
"-Uh, guys-" Sabine attempts to cut into Zeb and Kanan's worry/frustration argument but is quickly shut out.
"Do we really have the luxury of figuring it out?!" Zeb asks, borderline roars.
"We don't have time for this!" Hera grabs the elixir and pours it down Ezra's throat.
The monitor continues slowing...
Slowing...
Slowing...
"Sabine," Hera instructs, "Paddles." Sabine grabs them and hands them over. The prepping process repeats.
"Clear!"
All is silent.
They wait for a second... Then two... Then three...
"Wake up you selfish brat!" Zeb yells at the top of his lungs.
Sabine buries her head in Hera's side. The two adults looking down at the youngest, hopelessness etched on their faces.
Even Chopper warbles sadly.
"Come on, kid." Zeb says brokenly, his voice cracking, "Ezra."
Ezra's fingers twitch.
"Ezra?" Kanan whispers quietly.
Ezra's fingers tighten around Kanan's hand in a weak, but reasuring, squeeze.
The heart monitor, once deathly quiet, is now beeping at a gradually rising pace.
"Ezra." Hera whispers quietly in relief as she rehooks the respirator.
Ezra's head lolls to one side slowly before repeating to the other.
Kanan almost misses the quiet, exhausted-sounding, Master-Padawan force bond message.
'Y-you're not g-ge-getting rid-d of me t-that e-easily.'
