She slowly closed her eyes, moving her cold tongue around her mouth. She could feel eyes on her. She knew some wolf was there. Waiting for her to fall asleep, so they could rip her to shreds. Or it could be Xta.
"Cobui?" She heard a faint voice behind some bush. Not the voice of him.
She ignored it and figured it was probably in her head.
"Cobui? Is that you?" The voice struck again.
"Who's there?" Cobui finally asked, as if she didn't know the wolf.
It stepped out from the bush and moved closer. It was a small pup.
"Blqer!" Cobui jumped up and gave the pup a nuzzle.
Suddenly, a twig snapped.
A loud one.
They both looked in the direction it came from.
There were glowing eyes. One blue and one red. The animal was growling and its sharp teeth glistened in the moonlight.
"Blqer, get back into the camp. With that black wolf over there," Cobui watch the pup stalk silently back towards Xta.
The strange-eyed wolf leaped at her but she wasn't struck.
Something had moved in front of her. As if to block the hit.
She closed her eyes and tripped over a rock. She couldn't make out the two figures. One had glowing orange eyes and the other...
The blue eyed red.
The Blue Eyed Red.
Cobui was lost in her thoughts until something rolled over her. It ran towards Blqer and stopped. Turning around, Cobui saw it was Xta. He had blood running down his chin. She looked back and saw that the other wolf wasn't quite gone.
It stood there.
Glaring at her.
Without thinking, Cobui scratched it's face with her left paw. She, then, continued to paw at it until it bled. It howled and ran back into the woods.
She turned around to face Blqer and Xta.
She sighed and walked forward.
"Can he stay?" Cobui asked Xta.
"The pup? Of course! As long as he isn-"
"Thanks," She cut Xta off and fell on her side. She was tired and badly cut and didn't want any more trouble to be back.
"Blqer, go to sleep. Xta, get some sleep too," Cobui closed her eyes.
"My mother died in the FrostQre War-" She remembered what Xta had said.
Her mother had died in the war too.
Could that mean..
Cobui shook her head and curled up.
She soon fell asleep to the scent of the fresh kill.
