Emery's P.O.V
I was singing in my room that I share with a few girls. The girls? They're all outside playing. I put away my guitar and hide my notebook full of song lyrics. A few by me but mostly others that relate to me.

I was going to take a nap but Ms.Wood walks in.

Ms.W: People are adopting, c'mon ya might get adopted.

I nod showing her that I was coming and put on my beanie and shoes. I don't enjoy getting adopted but Y.O.L.O right?

I stepped outside were everyone is playing and lay down on the rough grass and stare at the sky, i don't feel like staying inside, if i get adopted I'll get adopted. I was on the edge of sleeping but I hear someone.

A random guy came up to me and said,"Hello!"

"I was totally not trying to sleep." I said annoyed.

"Sorry? I'm Michael, you?" He replied apologising.

"Emery" I state.

"Are you up for adoption?" Michael asks.

"What do you think? You're at an orphanage for Pete's Sake!" I replied getting annoyed.

"Okay... so tell me what your like." He asks.

"I am a tomboy, a girl, i have a nose, eyes, I am a placental mammal, and I think I am human.

"I see." He says humorously.

He lays down next to me and looks at the sky, i see his wrist and there are...cuts?

"You cut?" I ask sadly.

"No."

"What's that then?" I said pointing at his scars, it sad knowing someone cuts, how much do people go through to do that, its horrendously depressing just to know... because I went through it and I still do it.

"not anymore." He replies sadly.

"Oh Okay." I say happily trying to cheer up the mood.

"yeah." He says.

I smile and lay back down.

"Emery i would like to adopt you, would you like that?" Michael asks me after a couple of seconds of silence.

I shrug and he nods, he gets up and goes to a group of three other guys. Looks like I'm getting adopted i guess.
