Chapter 2: Caleb

Caleb was currently standing in the line to get into the convention. He had been waiting months for this! He was so excited!

Him and his... girlfriend... were all dressed up for the occasion. Lacy had convinced Caleb to go with her as Link from The Legend of Zelda. Lacy was cosplaying as  Princess Zelda herself. Caleb had to admit that she looked stunning but man did the boy in front of him look so much hotter... red, conforming, one-piece outfits really do make a man's ass look good.

Caleb blushed. Lacy. Right. Girlfriend.

yeah, yeah. Caleb was gay and he was well aware. There was no way he was coming out of the closet though. Lacy was in fact a facade to make him look hetero.

Caleb ran a hand through his hair and tilted his head back, letting out a dramatic sigh. Lacy looked at him like he was crazy and the little person on the boy-in-front-of-him's shoulders, turned and looked back at Caleb. Her eyes lit up and she tugged on the boy's hair "Finchy! is the boy behind us Link?" she asked excitedly "In that one game you showed me?" Caleb blushed a bit deeper. He hasn't even talked to this boy but he was pretty sure he was in love. Caleb was ashamed to say that boys caring for kids was a slight turn on to him.

Caleb quickly looked at the ground as the boy in the red one-piece turned to look at him. "It is link, Sarah," he said with a small smile "a really good link too." Caleb blushed a bit more and murmured a 'thank you'. He finally looked up- oh.. wow.. Caleb was stunned at how cute he was. he had dark blue eyes and raven black hair that came down around his ears. The boy blinked at him and smiled softly. Caleb went red and smiled back before quickly looking back down at the ground.

Lacy shifted uncomfortably "the line's moving" she murmured defensively. The boy blinked and looked over at her. He nodded quickly "yeah, sorry" he turned back around once again.

Caleb sighed softly as he wished he was out of the closet and wasn't stuck with a girl like Lacy.

She was... Okay... She was often rude and just generally not nice. She would often go out of her way to make people's days miserable.

so basically, definitely not the girl for Caleb.

Caleb looked to the side as they shuffled into the large building. Caleb lifted his head and stared around in awe. This was his first-ever con and he was really excited.

He looked forward and watched the boy and, what he assumed, was his little sister. he smiled as they got checked in and then went off to explore

"Next"

Caleb's girlfriend nudged Caleb forward "Come on, Caleb. Stop gawking and move. It's our turn." Caleb turned bright red and nodded as he scurried towards the desk. He gave the woman his badge. once he was checked in he quickly turned to Lacy. "I have to use the bathroom." He scurried off before Lacy could say anything.

Caleb ran around some until he found the boy from earlier. "Hey! Incredibles boy!" The black haired boy turned his head to look at Caleb "Oh, hey again" he said with a soft smile.

God dammit.

There's the blush again.

Caleb waved slightly "Hello"

They were silent for a moment before the male gave Caleb a 'well?' face.

Caleb blushed deeply "right- right. Anyway... Uh... My name's Caleb" he thrust his hand out for the other's. The male laughed softly and took it "Finch" he said simply. Caleb awkwardly pulled back his hand "I uh..." He turned to the vender they were standing in front of. "Do you have a pen and a piece of paper?"

The woman vender gave an embarrassing, knowing look and started looking for some. She pulled out what Caleb asked for and handed it to him "here you are!"

Caleb blushed darkly and took it from her "thank you." He turned back to Finch and quickly scribbled down his number "c-call me?" He asked nervously.

Finch didn't say anything. Instead he took the paper and the pen. He put the paper in his badge. He then took caleb's arm and pushed up his sleeve. The blonde blushed darkly as Finch scribbled out his number "there you go, Prince Charming" he winked at Caleb and gave the pen back to the vender "see ya round, link" the girl on Finch's shoulders giggled. Caleb turned to leave when he heard the little girl talking to Finch

"He was so cute, wasn't he, Finchy?" She asked with slight excitement. The boy hummed and Caleb could practically hear his smile "he was very cute."

Why was he acting like a goddamn school girl today? Caleb asked himself as he felt his cheeks heat up. He quickly scurried off to where he assumed Lacy was.

Caleb started worrying that the girl might see the number and get mad at him...

Caleb puffed out his chest slightly and tilted up his chin. He wasn't going to let lacy decide his future. He was going to break up with her once and for all.
