I look into Malc'e eyes and stare. "Why me." I think to myself. I look around for any clues on how he got hurt but find nothing "Great, first pressure for the test, now my brother's ex-best friend is dying right in front of my eyes." As I'm looking for stop clues one of my skis pops up above something. Under reveals a black knife with crimson blood all over the tip. "Who could've....." My thought is interrupted by the sound of mushing snow coming from behind me. "I take of my skis slowly scared they might make a loud noise and put them in my ski backpack. "Got to think fast, got to Think fast." I hear the footsteps getting louder. I scurry up the tree to my left with the knife in my hand. I squint my eyes and look down. I see a guy in a black sweatshirt walk slowly past my looking at the ground. Thankfully I'm high enough in the trees so he wont see me. "Where is the knife." He says nervously. "This wont look good if people find out about this and right before my test"that sent some shock through me knowing that he is the same age as me and will be in my test. I start to hear a crack beneath me and realize it is the branch i am perched on. I jump quickly to the one next to me which causes the guy to look up in my direction. "Please don't notice me, please don't notice me" He stares right next to me and then looks back down, I then realize that I'm wearinga green jacket and breath a quiet sigh of relief. "Wait that face seems really familiar...... wait that's Jeb..... my friend." After I realize this I'm shocked. And that's when I hear a groan coming from Malc's direction and Jeb starts running away.
