Dans pov

      The court case was in a day and I was as nervous as ever. They're usually harsh on people, especially second time offenders. Which was terrible since I had gotten in trouble once when I was a fledgling. Fledglings are young vampires basically, that haven't had their first taste of blood. I had showed my fangs to kids in school to scare them, which it certainly did I might add. They gave me a small community service duty and I graciously accepted it.

      But this was different. I had not shown someone something that could be explained. I had told them and bit them. Saving them wasn't that big a deal, but it was still frowned upon, along with taking them hostage and telling them nearly everything.

It was silent for awhile, both of us not sure as to what was the right thing to say at a moment like this.

"Dan?" Phil sheepishly asked.

"Yeah?" I replied with a sigh. He seemed taken a back and muttered something resembling never mind.
"No no tell me."

"It's going to be okay Dan. We have each other and we can get through this." He said while looking at the floor. I could tell his face was red from nerves and that he was scared as to what I'd say. I didn't respond. Instead I went over and hugged him.

"I know it will. Because I have you."

Sorry for the late and short update. This is a filler chapter. I've been going through a lot right now and writing just isn't something I can do. I will continue when I get better.
