Jessica's POV

Fuck I was tired. Last night the boy's had moaned that the trip back and forth was too long, so we had the learn that night. I took it as a challenge and, yes, I did it.

But I felt like I had a fricking hangover (I'd never had one before but I'd read about them in books). I now had History class, and boy I was even thinking of skipping. I'd NEVER skipped, but apparently today we were learning about the princes, and did I want to listen to some old guy ramble on about how great my (supposed) mate was?

Hell to the fuck no.

I opened my eyes harshly as I felt ice cold water being thrown on me. What the-? I saw Hillary grinning down at me.

"if you think that's gonna get me up, you're wrong," I told her, snuggling back down, immediatly grateful for my vampire non-feeling-the-coldness.

She grinned and suddenly I heard her high pitched voice singing as loud as she could:

I didn't recognise the song until the chorus, and when I did I covered my ears and jumped out of bed.

"I'M UP, I'M UP!" I cried, and Hillary grinned, walking away and humming the song. I groaned and twisted, before getting up and changing.

Maryam's POV

"Dad, this is a bad idea. Seriously, we need to have the alpha of Nottingham's word, without it we could get banished-"

"Maryam," my dad put his arm around me. "it's OK, one of my men has gone to get his word. We will set out, and you will come with us."

I looked out across the huge army and felt a smile come to my face.

Katy's POV

"what is this about?" I wined. I'd just finished Jessica's flying lesson and I was tired, but we weren't headed home.

"I can't tell you, sorry. Let's just say it's something that will make you very happy, along with the rest of the kingdom."

What? Was I supposed to guess that by those two things? They thought I was a hell of a lot cleverer than I was in reality.

Lord help me.

I closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep and then they'd have to take me home, but no such luck. Jacob woke me up.

"what?!" I snapped, tired and grouchy and downright pooped.

"weeee'reeeeee here!" William sang. I clenched my hands over my ears and the drawn out off-key notes. If none of them could sing, where did I get my singing gene from?

"you need to work on your singing," I told him, shutting my eyes. Maybe, just maybe, they'd leave me alone.

Oh well. Who was I kidding.

William shook me. "are you offending my singing?"

"yes," I mumbled. "yes I am."

He groaned. "I wasn't TRYING. Listen to us sing properly and you'll see," he winked at me.

Suddenly Jacob opened the car door and dragged me out.

"what the-?" I squealed, regaining my balance quickly because, surprise surprise, I was a vampire.

"come ON, before I'm forced to drag you," Jacob told me, grinning. Cheeky. I growled and got out, feeling a drawing sensation towards the building.

"Jacob, where are we?" I asked, biting my lip.

"we, my dear, are at the house of your mate."
