I clip my nails today

write broken poetry

but they don't seem to hear

Do they ever?

I floss my teeth

smile with fake warmth

but they don't seem to notice

Do they ever?

They say I don't eat enough

yet I have gained weight

but they don't seem to listen

Do they ever?

I comb my hair these days

untangle the tangles

but they don't seem to see

Do they ever?

I have learnt to live again

erased my worst day

but they don't stop redrawing it

Do they ever?
