Eyes

The darkest shade of brown

Stares back

Full of curiosity

And wonder

We both smile

At the same time

I at her

And she at me

I raise my hand to wave

When she too does just that

I giggle at the awkwardness

Bewildered

I take two steps ahead

When she too does just that

"Gotcha!"

We both scream at the exact moment;

As we come forward

To embrace each other

My twin

Her twin

That special moment of my life,

When I meet her

At long last.

My palms hit the glass

Not letting my arms to get through.

She too looked at me

With despair etched on to her face

Destined to be alone,

In this world of all,

Forever,

I blink back my tears

Having lost all hopes

When she too does just that.

Oh mirror,

You barrier.
