it's freezing
it's cold

it's mist
gathering
on all things
I thought
I once
knew

it's the yellow
tint on
the leaves
that were once
green

it's the tears
my loved ones
shed

I am numb
I am frigid
I am nothing
and I am everything

I am counting
I am floating
I am infinite
I am sinking

I am all that I feared I would be

and there is nothing

that can bring me back

it's the kite
I am tied to
I go
where it goes

there is no one
to hold me

my limbs swallow
the cold

my mouth
craves for
warmth

choking suffocating ugly black ugly white and now it's silver

I don't know
what colour it is

but I know what it is:

I am drowning
I am cold
I am a chill
that can't thaw
this cold sea

it lies
betwixt two states

and it's named after me-
