Why does society insist on perfection,

When it is impossible to achieve?

A flawless and smooth complexion,

Hiding faces under makeup so nobody sees

The real person underneath.

Stick-figure models with lip gloss.

"Wow, she's a girl-boss!"

They say.

The perfect career, looks and man,

Are something to strive for,

"If you don't have that,

You're just an average bore."

I'll stick with the average guys,

The perfectly imperfect guys,

I find your "perfection"

Too much of a chore.
